Hello everyone, and welcome once again. I want to get right to the point and share a change I’m making as we begin our 17th year together: I’ll be moving to a four-day work week. One of the challenges we’re facing right now is reduced activity within the community. To someone visiting for the first time, it can feel as though not much is happening—and that makes it harder for new people to feel encouraged to join. For more than 17 years, we’ve believed that more communication is better, and that principle still matters deeply to me. This website was created to be a safe, supportive community for people living with toxic illnesses—a place to share experiences, learn from one another, and pay it forward by helping others. When participation slows, it affects many parts of what makes this community work. At 80 years young, I’m also thinking carefully about my own longevity. I want to be sure I’m here, healthy and engaged, for many more years to come. A bit of diversification in how I spend my time feels like the right step toward that goal. Please know that no one receiving coaching will be affected in any way. I’ve adjusted my coaching schedule so that no calls or support will be missed. Also, starting in February we will be reducing the conference calls to one Saturday per month. You will have ample notification 10 days before the call of the guest and the date each month. This extra day will help me reduce personal stress and allow more time for the things I enjoy: cooking, gardening, hockey, model railroading, and yes, even a little poker. I still would like to encourage you all to help one another through the journey with more communication. Thank you, as always, for being part of this community. Warm regards, Mel | |||
