I am very concerned if the doctor prescribed you rispiridone (an anti pdychotic) for morgellons. If so it seems that the doctor is falsely assuming as the many do that you have delusions of parasitosis(DOP). If this is the case I don't think your doctor believes in the physical reality of morgellons at all :-(
You are not alone, they offered me similar drugs even though no skin samples of lesions were taken by the dermatologist. The infectious disease doctor assumed it psychological too. If you research how they are told to treat delusions of parasitosis, they are told to win the patients trust by giving them medicine they feel they need, then give them an anti psychotic at the same time. This is common practice. Although very wrong if no skin scraping has been undertaken or diagnosis based on assumption. I'm very concerned if people are taking strong anti psychotic drugs that they don't need with all the side effects they have because of doctors erroneous assumptions.
