Peter 12/17/2024 9:13:11 AM | Hi everybody Here is a brilliant post that I believe Mel published around early 2010. It contains information that I would suggest led us down the path of discovery that lbrought us to where we are today. Mr common sense was a regular contributer to this forum back in the day when Mel was initially bringing significant discovery about the true nature of MD. It is a bit lengthy, but it is a facinating look back at what we were learning at that time. I believe you will enjoy it. Peter Light and Hope- Posted today on Mr. Common Sense's Blog There is a tremendous amount of light and hope coming from these pages. finally this is beginning to make some sense. The ancient prophet Hosea warned "My people perish (or suffer) for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Those who are directed to this site will derive considerable gains in understanding the causative factors of this dreadful scourge. There are some common themes that have emerged for me so far as I have sought answers here and elsewhere to help find ways to alleviate this suffering: I see this first and foremost as a physiological terrain problem. The body physiology of Morgellons patients is being altered so they become an accommodating medium for the growth of pathogens that don't normally belong there. Compromised immunity appears to be the foremost contributing factor that "sets the stage" or "opens the door". first to acute, vector born and/or environmentally inflicted fungal, viral or mycoplasmic infection, and then to a variety of opportunistic chronic infections that invite further parasitic infestation. You have no doubt been brilliantly introduced to at least some of the key players involved here already. Genomic research has exposed limitations in our past efforts to accurately categorize microbial strata based on common cellular or metabolic features, and genetic engineering has in some cases even begun to blur the distinction between plant and animal phyla. Regardless of how and why these plant based organisms are finding a home in human hosts, the question remains as to how to safely and permanently eradicate them, remove their toxic byproducts, and restore normal physiological balance to the host terrain. Maintaining an alkaline pH seems to be a critical factor. it certainly has proven to be therapeutic in maintaining ideal soil conditions for healthy plants. Perhaps the most critical self-regulating function the body has to perform is the removal of metabolic wastes and maintaining an internal environment that is slightly alkaline. This is God's design and intent; making our bodies unfriendly territory to destructive viruses, bacteria and fungi and virtually impregnable to disease. Unfortunately, the foods most of us are eating and the chemically and emotionally toxic environment we are living in today aggressively promotes an acidic environment in the body. Perhaps this is one reason why the scriptures caution us to "be not conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds" (Romans 12:2). Anyone who has endured marathon struggles with candida overgrowth can attest to the difficulty of displacing established fungal infections, especially when underlying challenges such as heavy metal toxicity provide favorable conditions even when stringent dietary restrictions are followed. Chronic candidiasis patients can also testify to the burdening effect that chronic low level fungal infection causes on the immune system, which leads to secondary opportunistic infections. Soil based bacteria and the parasitic organisms such as collembola or rotifer which feed on them have evolved incredible mechanisms to withstand prolonged harsh conditions, and are capable of surviving in a dormant state for extended periods. Fungi and bacteria have demonstrated pleomorphic capabilities long before the advent of genetic engineering. Further complicating treatment is the biofilm potential of microorganisms. According to leading research, when bacteria are organized in biofilms, they produce highly effective biochemical substances which individual bacteria are unable to produce alone. Because the dense extracellular matrix and the outer layer of cells in a biofilm protect the interior of the community, antibiotic resistance can be reportedly be increased 1000 fold. It has recently been shown that biofilms are present on the removed tissue of 80% of patients undergoing surgery for chronic sinusitis. For these reasons, and I hate to say this, I do not see a silver bullet coming that will all at once, wipe out the various infections and infestations, their future life cycles (eggs) and immediately restore integrity to immunity and normal physiology to the body of a Morgellon's sufferer. However, that is not to say that there is no hope! First of all, when all is said and done, we will find that this and many other "modern diseases" are the end product of the arrogance and ignorance of man. Faced with the limitations of man's wisdom and resources, and with the fact that man alone is made in the image of God's triune nature. with an eternal spirit and the unique ability to create, we must in the end look back to the Creator of all things for answers and for restoration.
Peter 11/1/2024 10:52:04 AM | Hello Folks 2009 was a bountiful year for posts that were consistently loaded with insightful information. So, with that said, I want to continue to share more of these powerful posts. Here is one from Auntie M., a dedicated community member who, at the time, was a major contributor to Mel's existing community. I hope that you find It a useful and enjoyable read....... Auntie M 10/1/2009 7:21:52 PM I am such a NO TECHIE!. I meant to put a comment on an email at the tail of another one by Kim posted on 9/17/09 and it showed up as being posted today BY Kim. In any case, a few other things I do topically that don't cost too much. I do MMS baths. 30 drops citric acid to 30 drops MMS. Wait 3 minutes. Don't add water to mixture in glass. Put activated solution directly into bath water. MMS is cheap and works. Have used it in a different concentration (see jimhumble.biz for different formuations for different uses) for scalp, but smell makes me too nauseous. It kills the critters in scalp temporarily. I also use Dr. Bonner's liquid Tea Tree soap and Peppermint Soap (mix them half and half) and use this straight as a shampoo. Leave it on for awhile. It helps kill scalp critters temporarily. Also do Borax bathes occassionally, 2 cups of Borax to bath water. I have also found neem products (neem is a tree from India and neem is used to kill pathogens, including lice and mites. Can even take it internally in capsules) to help with skin problems (I do not have lesions on skin, except sores in scalp, so can't speak for that application). I use Thera Neem Leaf & Oil Lotion by Organix South Inc, which I purchase online from IslandLotions.com, a lovely family-owned company. This lotion is not cheap, but it is healthy for the skin. My face loves it. Anyone else having itching around private parts and has found something for even temporary relief? I have also found a direct correlation between what I eat and how much I am suffering. I am eating mostly protein and greens. No wheat, cow dairy, or sugar. When I give in and eat, say french fries, 2 days later I am really paying for it. I use stevia, an herbal sweetner from health food store, in my drinks as a sugar substitute. The best stevia I have found is NOW brand, which has a tiny serving utensil in the bottle. Stevia in packets is convenient but has an additive that I believe contributes to my challenges. For me, this is a process of completely changing the way I eat. I am like an addict kicking a habit. It has not been easy for me. I have read a ton about alkalizing the body. Two books about this are ALKALIZE OR DIE by Dr. Theodore A. Baroody and THE ALKALIZING DIET, YOUR LIFE IS IN THE BALANCE by Istvan Fazekas. Both are extremely informative. I am using AMAZING GREENS, a green powder, to help alkalize. I've lost 30 pounds since getting Morgellons and I need to lose about 70 more to be average weight for my size. I believe this journey, though not easy, is saving my life.
Peter 10/18/2024 9:58:19 AM | Hello Everybody Here is yet another truly inspiring post from 2009. It will reassure you in a wonderful way! Enjoy..... Pamela Mae 9/30/2009 6:09:55 PM Iwould like to post the positives about my experience while being on this journey with all of you here. 1.I found for the first time that their was hope for this disease. The hope keeps rekindling with friends, intelligent advice and constant refocusing on 'I can get well,I can do this,I can I can I can' 2.I found a community of people I can talk to about Morgellons.I am a bit private sometimes so its been very healing to be able to share in this way. 3. I found I do not need to be humiliated any more by doctors and I can help others in the direction of finding Morgellons friendly practitioners for themselves(good feeling) 3.I found a sound definition of Morgellons and it reaffirmed that this multifaceted disease was not all in my mind. 4. Inch by inch I have slowly been reclaiming bits of my life. I have been loosing weight and feeling a little stronger every day. 5.I found sound scientifically valid research on the things involved with Morgellons. This took me out of the fearful frenzied pictures on the internet and the wild theories about space aliens in my blood.Please. I have also learned SO SO much . So much. Don't you think when we are learning from scientifically sound data that we grow incredibility ? 6..For the first time in 15 years I can sleep at night. This is an extreme miracle. 7. I found growth as a person in being a determined advocate for all of us with this disease. This by watching the sheer determination of mel and seeing Johns kind and merciful steadfastness. And by joining in the lives of you here and feeling what you feel -crying with some, praying, and sometimes just a good laugh. Thank you all for adding to my life and enlarging my sometimes selfish vision. Thank you mel for hanging in there with the good and the bad. Thanks John B. for all the research and commitment Thanks to all of you with your sweet voices ..I think of you last thing at night and first thing in the morning... Blessings my brothers and sisters - I hope this is all right- and in some small way in the days to come I can serve and bless you. Because of Jesus great love, Pamela Mae p.s.I for one would love to hear..the smallest thing that you have been encouraged on - to you it might be small but to someone else it could bring huge hope! Thank You.
