I am so sorry for your loss...your grandmother was obviously an incredible role model, and the selflessness she showed for you even up until her last day shows just how much she loved you. Reading your post brought tears to m eyes...but it also warmed my heart to see how much impact one person can have on another's life through love, time, and attention. To me, this illustrates the point that we all have contributions we can make even at an advanced age, and that these contributions...primarily love...matter, and matter a lot. It shows we all have much to live for...somebody...even if it's not family...somebody out there needs us. We have a job to do...so we need to all do everything we can to get well and then get busy doing it. In the meantime, we need to stay supportive of each other in ways we can navigate while we're still recovering...like contributing our thoughts on this website and especially through prayer for each other as often as possible.
The blow of having your grandmother pass away right before Mother's Day must have made things very hard for you yesterday. I don't know what your spiritual beliefs are...but many believe...and I believe the veil between us and the other side is thin...and that your grandmother is watching over you and still sending you her love.
I'm so sorry to hear about your car AC being on the blink...I also live in the South and know just how awful that can be. You and yours will be in my prayers. In the meantime, know you're not alone...those of us who read your posts are cheering you on!
