Thanks for your response, Karen.

I did check out the other information Mel pulled up as well.

I have the machine and have used it in my car and will now begin using it, room by room, in my home.

Fellow Warriors,

I have read that an ozone machine can be helpful in cleaning up your home or residence. Curious as to if anyone has used this method and how it worked for you.

Many thanks!

Mel Says (Hello Chris,I moved your post to our first ever thread about Ozone machines, By using the search engine, only using the word (Ozone), I brought up three great threads including the original.
So give it a try and let us know what you found.)

Morgellons -

Hello Everyone,

Getting our environments clear was the subject that came up again in last Friday's conference call. I don't remember the exact context, but at one point, I mentioned how happy I've been with using an ozone generator to clean my environment. Mel mentioned this had been discussed in a previous conference call a few weeks back and suggested we might revisit that recorded call...and he asked me to make a post about the ozone generator as well.

I'd also mentioned in the conference call that the ozone generator I liked was from a company called "Forever Ozone"...the website address is, foreverozone.com

I'd further mentioned on last week's conference call that I'd recently found one on Amazon for $79. However...when I went back to Amazon to get that link, I found that this item was "no longer available."

So...I went to foreverozone.com and found that those sold on Amazon or EBay for $79 are knock offs from China and won't last long (thus becoming the more expensive item). Forever Ozone no longer sells their machines on Amazon for a variety of reasons, but you can find the real deal on their site for $109 for a 20,000 MgH model which is what I paid for mine several months ago. I bought mine from the company when they sold them on Amazon...but it would be just as easy to order from their site...same price.

This is a very nice company to work with. I'd received one that had a defective plate and when I sent the owner a message, I'd had an immediate response and a replaced plate within the week...no questions asked.

They also have a 7000 model for $99 but that's not the one to get...the 20,000 has the capacity to really get things done and it's only ten more dollars, thus the obvious choice.

You'll also need a box fan to put behind the ozone machine when it runs. If you don't have one, they actually sell one on their site for only $20...probably just as cheap as you can get it anywhere else.

There was much interesting information on the foreverozone.com site. One bit of information was about dust mites. I'm going to include a copy and paste from their site below on this topic because it was so interesting and because it illustrates how this machine works:

How does ozone gas remove these harmful substances that cause allergies? Ozone gas is a strong oxidizer. It ruptures the membranes of organic material and destroys the hydrogen bond in chemicals. The secret is to achieve a high concentration of ozone quickly for a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME and to do that, you need to space ozone generators around your residence and use box fans to churn the air in order to get the available oxygen from the roof down to the ozone plates. A small 100 CFM fan won't do the trick, you need the 3000 CFM of a $20 box fan to get the job done right, that's why most of our ozone generators don't feature a fan. So you hit the air hard with ozone for a short time (1 hour) then you air the area out and that's it! No more dust mites. No more biologically active dust mite feces. No more chemicals and other micro-pathogens. All dead. All because YOU were smart enough to use nature's cleaner, ozone, to sterilize and sanitize your air. Your sinuses and nose will thank you!

Here's another interesting copy and paste from the "Forever Ozone" site. I'm sure everyone reading this post will understand the question the owner of this company poses below. Copy and paste follows:

I've been getting 10-15 calls a week lately out of nowhere (used to get zero) about skin mite infestations and how our products are being used to treat the condition. What's going on out there??

The next bit is another copy and paste from foreverozone.com that answers the question..."Can an ozone machine kill insects?"

Yes, small insects like dust mites die within hours of high ozone concentrations present. Exactly how long depends on the bug but generally speaking, they all die within an hour, even larger insects like crickets and roaches. Flying insects die faster (flies, mosquitoes).

There are some insects that ozone can't kill, for instance spiders. We've done tests and have discovered it's pretty hard to kill spiders with ozone. Better to use a shoe (or remove them with a vacuum cleaner)

On a personal note, I've been extremely pleased with the machine I bought from this company. I'd had a smaller ozone machine before that didn't do anything...and because of that I didn't think ozone worked. Later on I read about needing an ozone machine that's strong enough to get the job done...and found that foreverozone.com sold a 20,000 model for a reasonable price. All of the ones that strong I'd found before finding this one were extremely expensive...and completely out of reach for my budget.

So...what did I notice when I used this machine? A LOT. The first time I used it in my bedroom I could sleep that night without the tickling and itching on my face. Prior to using this, I never felt I could get my room clean and dust free enough...even though it looked very clean on the surface...and even though I'd done extreme things on a regular basis like vacuuming the ceiling and walls and scrubbing them down with all kinds of solutions...and changing sheets all the time...and vacuuming blinds...and cleaning windows...and vacuuming and mopping floors constantly...and cleaning light fixtures...etc. etc. etc. Once I started using this machine...I could go back to routine and normal house cleaning.

I imagine there are even more toxic things in the environments of MD sufferers than are mentioned above...and I'd speculate that there are many that have never even been identified...but whatever was in my house was certainly affected by the use of this ozone machine...and I hope all the little devils screamed to high heaven in agony when they imploded. Ok...maybe that's bad karma to be so hostile toward the toxins that have basically derailed my life...but...hey...I'm human

Lol...ok...it sounds like I'm a paid advertisement for this company. I'm not...but I AM sold on this machine. After spending so much money on so many other things, this was a drop in the bucket...and offered tremendous results for the price.

In my opinion, these ozone generators plus the use of Kleen Green in our environment will give us the very best chance of getting rid of these nightmare pests in our homes.

Of course...as Mel says...cleaning up our own bio terrains will be the ultimate key...the gold standard we are all working toward...but that process takes time...and in the meantime, in my opinion, these things to help clean our environments are life savers.
