Urine, being a byproduct of blood filtration from your kidneys, is yellow due to a pigment called urochrome from the breakdown of hemoglobin, a protein in your red blood cells. Perhaps the brownish skin blotches that people report also relate to the breakdown of hemoglobin arriving in the dermis. After all, the skin, as does the bladder, functions as an excretory organ. Just "Food for thought." Godspeed, peter |
Craig 1/28/2017 5:53:53 PM | While not directly pertaining to urine pH, this article does show us the future of urine testing and what can be expected. Further down it does discuss the characteristics of what is considered to be healthy urine and water intake. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2017/01/28/urine-test-can-determine-level-of-health.aspx?utm_source=dnl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art2&utm_campaign=20170128Z1_B&et_cid=DM131842&et_rid=1861876561 "The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions." Craig 12/12/2016 10:05:27 PM | pH UPDATE:Howdy folks Our pH continues to improve with consistent readings between 6.75 and 7.50 taken with the first morning void of urine. I continue to imbibe the lemonade with the addition of ginger and so now it is lemonade gingeraide. See how easy it is to make in the thread New Recipes for 2016. I have become "addicted" to this drink and to save money have started to stretch each bottle of Minute Maid to make 3 quarts of watered down drink, although the addition of a strong ginger component helps. I continue to have very low protein or no protein with the evening meal which really isn't a meal, more like a snack to get the pills down. Also no evening apple cider vinegar. The other change is I have recently added some minerals from ocean water which I researched and found what I believe to be the cleanest source available. This will be temporary to make sure I am not low on or missing these essential trace minerals. I still feel the lemon drink along with the diet changes have contributed to the improving pH. If you are drinking a lot of this remember to rinse with pure water after the lemon drink to protect the enamel on your teeth. Wishing us all continued progress on our ascent of Mount Wellness, Wholeness and Freedom. |
