While not directly pertaining to urine pH, this article does show us the future of urine testing and what can be expected. Further down it does discuss the characteristics of what is considered to be healthy urine and water intake.

pH UPDATE:Howdy folks

Our pH continues to improve with consistent readings between 6.75 and 7.50 taken with the first morning void of urine. I continue to imbibe the lemonade with the addition of ginger and so now it is lemonade gingeraide. See how easy it is to make in the thread New Recipes for 2016.

I have become "addicted" to this drink and to save money have started to stretch each bottle of Minute Maid to make 3 quarts of watered down drink, although the addition of a strong ginger component helps. I continue to have very low protein or no protein with the evening meal which really isn't a meal, more like a snack to get the pills down. Also no evening apple cider vinegar.

The other change is I have recently added some minerals from ocean water which I researched and found what I believe to be the cleanest source available. This will be temporary to make sure I am not low on or missing these essential trace minerals. I still feel the lemon drink along with the diet changes have contributed to the improving pH. If you are drinking a lot of this remember to rinse with pure water after the lemon drink to protect the enamel on your teeth.

Wishing us all continued progress on our ascent of Mount Wellness, Wholeness and Freedom.

Hello, Ruth!

So nice to hear from you :)

I take lemon or lime juice (sometimes even mixed together) mixed with the bicarbonate and 4 oz. of spring water, generally only first thing in the morning. Then I drink lemon and lime in still and sparkling spring water throughout the day. I also make a 'salty' lemon-limeade, using a small amount of Himalayan pink salt crystals or Celtic gray salt flakes, lemon juice, lime juice and stevia liquid once per day. That has also made a big difference in my digestion and probably my pH levels as well.

I used to make this healthy lemon-limeade a few years ago and reintroduced it onto my nutrition plan a few days before this most recent full moon. I have had a a terrible time during the full moon phase as well as a couple of days before and after, since having MD. However, this most recent full moon presented almost no issues. The only things I changed in my regimen were the addition of the pink salt or sea salt lemon-lime drink and eating additional raw pumpkin seeds and cold-pressed pumpkinseed oil. Almost no 'creepy-crawly' feelings, little itching and for the first time...no rash breakouts, pimpling or lesions during the full moon phase! I'll continue to test this next month, but I am hopeful that these additions of extra lemon-lime, salts and raw pumpkin set up a very inhospitable environment for MD & Lyme. I also bathed with pink salt and essential oils the evening of the full moon for detoxing. I credit this with having no insomnia that night, which is another full moon phase side effect I've struggled with.

My apologies - this was so much more information than you asked for! However, in general, I believe the right combinations of organic lemon and lime juices and other herbals and spices along with a good spring water that is naturally alkaline provides stabilization to pH. There is a lot of scientific evidence that shows that lemon, in particular, helps combat cancer cells by making the body less acidic and, thus, less accommodating to pre-cancerous cell structures. I also make a limeade with cucumber water and mint and another that is lemonade with parsley water and lavender. All wonderful and refreshing, plus the herbs provide further alkalinity.

Many blessings to you 'across the pond.' Sending you warm wishes for maximum healing and peace.
