freddiebean 9/9/2018 9:26:52 AM | Hi Chris I hope you don't mind me jumping on to your thread but I would really like to know Anna what weight is 1/2 a cup in ozs or grams, as I would like to make the Salmon Patties. I too would have to get rid of the fishy taste, as I really don't like fish so adding mustard is a good Idea. Freddie x
Anna 9/6/2018 8:44:52 AM | Hi Chris, Here's a pretty simple recipe I was thinking you would enjoy. I haven't used this recipe myself, but I do make patties using salmon, tuna, and other types of fish. You should probably double the recipe so that you can put them in the freezer to have at another time when you're not feeling up to cooking. You can just throw one in the oven or convection oven and add some sort of veggie to have along with it. The avocado is not necessary, and the sky is the limit with the different spices you can use (garlic, dill, basil, turmeric, etc). I like to add some mustard powder to take away the fishy flavor. However, just use what you like. SALMON PATTIES Ingredients: 1 (14.5 oz) can canned salmon 1/2 onion, minced 1/2 cup almond flour 2 eggs 1 avocado, diced small 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/4 cup butter Instructions 1. Combine the salmon, minced onion, almond flour, eggs, salt and pepper together in a mixing bowl. Mix in the avocado and form into 6 patties.3. Melt the butter in a large skillet, once hot brown the patties about 4-5 minutes per side.4. Drain on a paper towel and serve. God Bless and stay strong, We are here for you Chris!!
