Hello, everyone! The other day, when I was running errands in Massachusetts, I came across a new health food store, so I went inside to check out what kind of products they sell. I wasn’t really looking for an exfoliation device, but I have certain places on my body where I have developed a little bit of flaking, especially on my lower legs, feet, and face. I can’t really determine whether it is dry skin or biofilm or detoxing “sand,” but I suppose it doesn’t really matter what it is. I think it is probably all part of the process. The device is called OctoVie. It is a skincare brush. You can purchase it online for $14.99. It is recommended that you replace it roughly every three months, but I imagine you can stretch it past that time. You can use it to brush your skin when it is either dry or wet. You can also use it to massage essential oils into the skin. I imagine you can use it to massage lotions into the skin as well. It contains no BPA or latex, and it is phthalate-free. It cleanses away dead skin cells and minimizes the appearance of pores, lines, and wrinkles. It has 265 “nubs” that do the exfoliation work. I don’t have many lesions left, so I didn’t really have to work about agitating any of them—I wouldn’t recommend scrubbing over them with any kind of exfoliation device. I was thinking of Donald’s issues (and my own) with biofilm, and I thought it might help him to at least manage it somewhat better. It won’t make it go away, that is an internal process, but while the body is healing, I think it is important to find products that work to “manage” the many symptoms that all of us endure. It was designed by a female esthetician in Massachusetts, so at this point, it is only available in certain stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York. Her website is: octovieskinbrush.com. I took a WPS bath and used the brush to exfoliate. After the bath, I used the brush to apply hemp oil. I like that oil on my skin because it is less “greasy” than coconut oil (although I still use that when I REALLY need to moisturize or for healing). My skin looks and feels much better. I don’t think I will use the brush every single day (I don’t want to exfoliate my skin too much), but I imagine that I will use it as needed. I will definitely use the brush to apply essential oils, though. I also like that this product is one of those American success stories...an average citizen came up with a great idea and ran with it. Anyway, I hope this information helps someone...even if it just makes you feel a little more human on a day when you are feeling down. God bless. Jamie

Donald and Maria, I am so happy to hear that I am not the only one benefitting from this particular product! I still love mine! I’m especially happy to hear that Donald found something helpful for the biofilm issue...I had him in mind when I made my original post. Jamie

Hi Jamie and Donald, I also purchased this nifty exfoliator...I like it a lot! I prefer it over the poof-style sponge I had been using.. this is more of a massage tool--gets the blood flowing, but is gentle on the skin. I use it from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. Thanks for sharing this-- God bless, Maria
