4/24/2016 3:25:50 AM | Thanks Fiona, Kate, Peter, and JohnB. I felt so edified to come and read the replies - truly honored! Really ;) I am looking forward to starting a thread- will be back next week to do that! And again / thanks so much for the replies! Also - I have had major email probs (don't get them all and had to change a few) and so when I start the thread I want to have that all worked out. Kate- - I did use masks once for garden stuff -(and I really still do not garden - sniff ) - but a wet rag held over your mouth and nose is what some suggest for particles and dust! We did not have much dust because we did that major house cleaning early on - but later we still had to change house air filters - etc. sometimes for nose protection I would carry something I could Lube my nose with. Like castor oil, Neosporin or this mint stuff I got from bed bath and body! Putting it in the nose is a nice barrier - like once during a yoga class someone used a bad spray that was making me feel ill - (dollar tree crap) and by chance I used the Neosporin in and under my nose and it helped so much! I also used it on and off for other places -but the nose is a major gateway - and another fav- was an essential oil roll on from aveda - called blue oil - and lastly - pure lanolin is healing for lips and sometimes nose - but mostly lips - a must have for dry days! And Kate - placing the powder (either BS - Or DE - or borax) in window ledges kept the air cleaner and no bugs! Windows seemed to be where bugs would like to go when they came in the house - and now I just sprinkle a bit of de (when no one is around and I get out to let it settle) - very helpful. Also - seeing that you have to work - just try to come up with ways to sleep or nap - the little things add up and so ask for help -from friends or family if u can - not sure what your social support system is - I know it varies at times - but many people work and still get well - but getting enough sleep is so crucial. What helped me was getting a good ten hours once or twice a week - and my hubs would even sometimes remind me it was time for one of those long nights of zzzzs. and so start to listen to your Body more and more - this is your job right now and maybe you can miss one day to sleep now and then- just maybe. Okay - I will be back later this month to start a thread - and to all who are healing - be encouraged and remember that going slow is actually better for the system to purge and adjust - don't get discouraged - especially those with thin hair and sores everywhere and with all this craziness - healing can be yours- so take it one day at a time - find small joys all around to lift your mood- and do your best for this day! We are all human and in a way we have to grow into this new mode (the new normal) so if you slip or get sidetracked -just know that is part of the process! like once when I was eating trader joes dark chocolate pb cups - I kept doing it - ha! and symptoms went batty - well I knew better - but it was where I was at! Mm However - the pain of the symptoms became really associated with eating those and I said enough! Done. I never craved them after that! Never - I saw them as pulling from life and I focused on what I could enjoy that did not feed anything! Now shhhh - I did have coffee - but a good brand - and on some days I added butter, cocoa powder and milk - hubs called it nitro - lol - but my body did not mind it at all! Just did it on certain days- but I think we grow into the strength to make the right choices. This is a lot to wrap our head around - especially with any brain Fog - fear- etc. My point is that "you are up until you win" and just keep trying - give it your best for this day - don't come down hard on yourself - but soldier up when you need to - and know that God is here and he is in and with you and he will never ever give you more than you can handle - especially cause he is the one who handles it! That's good news! Peace - |
