What a beautiful and touching post! Reading your post made me smile and cry at the same time. It was a happy cry though.
I have always had great faith and trust in God, and like you, I pray and talk to Him daily. But you are so right, I have not given Him nearly enough thanks for my many blessings, especially the small ones that we tend to take for granted. If there is a positive side to this disease, it is definitely becoming closer to our Lord - having faith and trust in His word and being grateful for the blessings He has bestowed on us.
I know you and I have the same fear of hugging our loved ones. So when I read that you actually hugged your family, I was so very happy for you! I was very encouraged as well! I am working past the fear and give my granddaughters "quick hugs". They even ask me for "a quick hug". I have held my newest granddaughter once and only for a minute. I can't wait for the day when the fear and this disease leave me so that I will feel comfortable holding them and giving them bear hugs.
I am so elated to read that you are at 95%! I know you will be at 100% before you know it. You have never given up hope and neither will I.
Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3John1:2
God Bless,
