Cheryl 2/10/2019 9:01:03 AM | Hi Everybody, I really like the name of this thread, because it is certainly true that helping those who help us, and giving back to those we receive from, is "the right thing to do". This website is a unique find among toxic disease sufferers. I attribute that to Mel's heart. He truly wants to help people, and offer a hand of hope to those who have been devastated by this disease. My favorite one on Karen's list of viable options is: "6. Mel has stayed here for us...every day...regardless of the kinds of sacrifices he's had to make to do so." That is my favorite one because Mel could have had Morgellons, gotten well, stayed well, developed a protocol that works, and that fact been proven based on him alone. He never had to reach out to help others afflicted with this disease. There are people living normal lives again, raising children, married, working, etc. because Mel had the kindness in his heart to want to build a website of hope. He wanted a place others could come to, not to be terrified, but to receive hope that they can be well again. Let me say that there are numerous places on the internet where people can go to exchange horror stories and get scared out of their wits. That is not this website. If you are looking for hope, encouragement, information, community, understanding, a pathway to healing, those are the things you will find on this site. A place like this is possible because Mel decided to stay. He created a nice website, an outstanding forum full of great information, decided to give his time freely for Saturday conference calls and Sunday prayer and fellowship calls, not to mention all of the other things he has done and continues to do, so that he might help as many people as possible. Mel offers coaching and has extremely generous coaching hours, allowing us to call anytime we want during those hours. He charges less for coaching then any where else on earth, while having the largest testimonials section I have found to date! This one on one help is invaluable to those needing help with specific issues they'd rather not post about, needing direction with questions having to do with the protocol, needing Mel's expertise and advice on things he has gone through and experienced himself, and needing encouragement to stay in the fight and continue on their journeys. Mel might even make you laugh and give you some tips on how to take your mind off of this disease for awhile. Karen asked, "So...who pays for Mel's time?" The answer is those who invest in one on one coaching with Mel, those who give to Mel's Go Fund Me account, and those who subscribe to the website. I agree with Karen that giving to Mel's Go Fund Me account is "a payment for faithful services" and "not a donation". And that Mel "should be supported by those he supports every single day..." Please consider purchasing "One-on-One Coaching", SUBSCRIBE to the website, or giving to Mel's Go Fund Me Account.. There is no amount too small to give. I gave 5 dollars to Mel's Go Fund Me at Christmastime, and Mel thanked me. Mel always appreciates the kindness and encouragement he receives with anything that is done for him. We can all learn from that. Many thanks to you, Mel, for viable option number 6, staying here for us. God bless. Cheryl
Karen 1/16/2019 10:19:21 PM | Hello Everybody, We're all basically in the same boat. We were living our lives and then...BOOM...we (symbolically) drew some unlucky cards and ended up living a life we couldn't even have dreamed before experiencing it. I was talking to a fellow sufferer the other day about it...about trying to get friends and family to understand what we're going through. It seems everyone's an "expert"...we attempt to disclose a little or a lot of our experiences and we either get outright rejection...or..."help." I think I'd almost rather have the outright rejection than the "help" (even if well meaning) offered by those who have no clue. My thoughts about even trying to get someone to understand is just...don't do it. Don't even try to get someone to understand because it will cause you a lot of undue stress. It's kind of like explaining color to someone who's been blind since birth...it's just unexplainable. So...where does this leave us? No need to explain this...we all know...it leaves us with very few viable options...but thank God...we have one that has never let us down, and that is our Mel. Here's why I chose Mel as the most viable option...and I did this after looking around for almost two years (oh...by the way...I'm almost well): 1. He actually had Morgellons. If you've ever read that he did not...let me tell you differently. Mel really understands Morgellons...he lived it...and if you've had it and talked to him...you know he did. When he went to the hospital ten years ago, someone actually wrote "Morgellons" on some of his paperwork. He had it. 2. He actually got well from Morgellons (plus a couple of other toxic diseases). He is still well from those things. I've been to Mel's house and have seen him in person on more than one occasion...he's completely recovered from the three toxic illnesses he was suffering from ten years ago. 3. He got well has stayed well for ten years. 4. He developed a protocol that works...not easy...but it does work 5. We know it works based on evidence...the evidence is in the number of those who have gotten well and have come back to tell about it. Not just a few...many. I haven't found any other method...person...doctor...protocol with that track record. 6. Mel has stayed here for us...every day...regardless of the kinds of sacrifices he's had to make to do so. So...think about this. Think about it if you'd been in Mel's shoes. You've suffered endlessly...for years...and have had to figure out how to get well using yourself as a guinea pig. You almost lose everything you have...but yet...you push yourself to the wall...for years...to make sure you can help others...to make a difference. This takes a huge amount of time every week. It takes him more hours than a regular work week. He does not take vacations...he barely takes days off. He finally manipulated his schedule enough so he could get time "off" last week to go to church. He was so happy just getting out of the house and getting to be in church. Then he got sick...bronchial pneumonia...probably caught at church and is now doing everything he can to try to recover on his own. I've talked to him daily since he got sick...and it's really bothering him that he can't be there for those who may need him. He's really pretty grouchy too...not easy for him to be what he considers ineffective. I cannot imagine this level of dedication. I don't think any of us can. We all have bills to pay to survive. None of us has much extra money...but...if we need Mel we'll all run to him in a panic either in an email or a phone call, and he'll do his very best to help us. So...who pays for Mel's time? How does he manage to devote his full time for years to a job that does not pay? By some very creative management...that's how. By robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak...by praying constantly...and by doing without on a level most of us would never be able to comprehend. I've been privy to his budget, and I can think of no other term for it than...terrifying. He definitely has some guts. He does this, and in doing so, he has helped so many people that it would be hard to even quantify his positive effects. He has used his broad range of influence, not only to extend help to those who suffer, but also to provide business for manufacturers...and has only asked for them to please put some money in to the foundation which helps to buy more supplements for those who cannot. He is an "other" person...he gets up every morning and sacrifices his all to help others. And we depend on him. There are a LOT of us who make use of his expertise every day. I don't know where we'd be without him. Today Mel told me that he has not had one new coaching customer this month. Today is the 16th. Mel depends upon coaching...it is THE difference between his ability to stay afloat or not. Subscriptions help a bit...but so many don't subscribe...many must just read all they can for free and then call it a day. If Mel is to stay available to all of us, we need to do our part. We are many...if we all help, then Mel can continue to do what he does. If not...well...then who knows? Could you go on forever with not enough income? I couldn't. Most would have to do something else. I know Mel...it's hard for him to come up short and then have to extend a request. By the way...he has not asked me to do this...but being privy to his situation, I took it upon myself to do so. So...let's do the right thing by this dear man...let's make sure we SUBSCRIBE...let's order "One-on-One Coaching"...let's just flat out send him some cash in his Mel's Go Fund Me Account....he deserves it. It's not a donation...it's a payment for faithful services rendered. And please...join me in praying that there comes a day when Mel is appreciated enough not to have to find himself in the position of worry over not keeping body and soul together. He should be supported by those who he supports every single day...those of us who seek his help...and those whose businesses he's promoted for years. It's the right thing to do. Love, Karen
