It makes me smile to know you are on your way! I pray everyone one knows there is light at the end of this. As we struggle to restore our health it is important to think positive.
You bring forth a great truth about cortisol not being our friend. This is why we focus on the cure rather than the symptoms. I am sure we all agree there is nothing funny about having MD. However, after we learn to accept we have this disease, then we can persevere through it.
Part of my perseverance has been to stop giving credit to the foreign matter leaving my body. I make the funny comments telling them to leave because they are not paying rent. In other words; I am no longer allowing this disease to control my every thought like it once did. I laugh at some of the silly things I have to do in order to survive. Things that only people with MD would understand.
Thank you for sharing your parking lot experience with us. I did chuckle as I read it; and also related to it. I also love the idea of watching something funny to escape this disease for a while. This is a great way to stimulate good endorphins (There are at least 20 different kinds of endorphins).
May God Bless you abundantly as you cross that finish line. I, as well as many others are cheering for you. Stay strong, stay focused on proper diet, keep up with your protocol, and 'Go Karen, Go'!
In Christ Love, Laura |
