We do a lot of unusual things when we're going through this disease. Lot's of new and weird rituals that other people wouldn't understand, but when we hear these things we don't even blink an eye because we're all right there. Chrissie and I were talking about some of the weird things we do just the other day and were laughing because it's so bizarre, but the things we do are very similar. It's funny because you think you're the only one doing these crazy things but then you talk to someone else and realize that you're not.
The other morning I got out of bed late, as I usually do now. Mornings are pretty tough for me right now, but when I got up and read this post, it really lifted my spirits. It made me laugh as I pictured you going through this ordeal to make it work (pretty ingenious solution though). The picture is priceless, and you painted such a detailed picture that I could see the whole scenario unfolding in my head. You're right it is good to laugh, and with all of my mishaps as of late, I find myself laughing at myself more and more.
Thank you for your humor. I think that humor can get us through some rough times and bring us out of our pits, however temporary. If God gifts us with humor, then you have been truly blessed with it.
P.S. My daughter is still eating meat, but just chicken. She just came to visit with me and I made her some organic chicken Italian sausage from Wegman's.
God Bless, Anna |
