Your lonely days are over...people on this site will support you. Only those who have gone through this understand. Your story about your family not understanding is very typical. I often think of this illness as some kind of a spiritual rite of passage that leads us back to leaning on God alone...which is really where all things should start and end anyway.
Stay strong and know you are not alone. Keep your faith as you do what you know to do each day and then just take it one day at a time. Give yourself time to learn all the details involved in what Mel refers to as the "sum of the parts."
Then...one day you'll look up and realize you're so much better physically and so much stronger emotionally and spiritually.
So...welcome to our community and please reach out as often as you feel the need.
