Hey Chrissie,

Thank you for sharing about Lark Rise to Candleford, Cranford, and Return to Cranford.

I searched for those on Amazon Prime and was excited to see that there are 4 free seasons of Lark Rise to Candleford and 1 free season of Cranford listed. Return to Cranford is not free but I saved it anyway so that I will see when it does become free.

I am a great fan of Charles Dickens and so I am always on the look-out for mini-series based on his books. A few free with Amazon Prime that I have really loved are Bleak House (2005 mini-series with Gillian Anderson), Dombey & Son (in French but so good I did not mind much reading subtitles), and Our Mutual Friend.

I've watched some of Dickensian which is a series kind of based on all of Dickens' characters from his books.

Some other series I have loved (sorry, I get attached) that have at least one free season with Amazon Prime are Mr. Selfridge, Victoria, Poldark, and Mercy Street. Those are all PBS.

For anyone who was a child in the 60's and remembers Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella starring Lesley Ann Warren coming on TV once a year, that old musical is free on Prime.

It was a big deal back in the day to have Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz come on TV once a year, and my favorite was Cinderella.

Thank you again, Chrissie :-)
