Ha ha you made me laugh out loud. That was comedy Gold! Your sentence, "I was going to turn into a catatonic mass of protoplasm sitting in my chair in front of the tv saying," just one more episode".. ".. Love that imagery there :-).
Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions for people to watch too.
Unfortunately I don't have Netflix or Amazon prime I'm still back in the dark ages with dvds!!. So I end up watching things over and over to get money's worth as cannot get them that often, just now and again.
However, I can watch things sometimes on my mobile phone by putting it into a mobile phone magnifier(they are incredibly cheap and effective) and plugging it into a small speaker.
Have you seen, 'Northern Exposure,' it's a very good series from. America set in Alaska from I think the 1990s,full of quirky, eccentric characters. It has many unexpected twists and turns and it's often quite surreal...It's a great one to watch also. Again, it appeals to me, because it's about a community of people who come together and do help each other . It also has a lovely gentle humour about it. And like you it's great if there are many episodes, you genuinely become involved in their lives.
It's so important to take our minds of this disease for a while and especially if we are isolated and alone, it's good to watch humor or people interacting. It's good to get lost in someone else's life, even if they are a fictional character, for a little while. That escapism helps the mind and body to rest a while and get a break.
And a little laugh or two is also a much welcome break!
God bless, Chrissie
