Well my absolute LOVE for southern American accents started when I listened to Barbara Kingsolver read her own audible book, 'prodigal summer.'
Her voice, I kid ye not is the most beautiful voice I have heard on a audio book yet. To me it is like silk, just beautiful. And this book is set in the Appalachian mountains and I thought it was so evocative, expressive of the natural world, ecology and a deep insight into the world of wolves.
I adored it.
