Hi Shari and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you do find some good ways to celebrate the day of your birth because God smiled the day you were born! He loves you and you are loveable and wonderful. The hike up the mountain with a friend sounds awesome. Congrats on . maxing out on MMS, too. It's easier not having to keep track of what # drops you're up to this week AND wondering how much farther you'll have to go before you max out. So, since every little bit of stress reduction is helpful, this is good. I'm sorry to hear about your rough family life as a little one on up until ? But, you aren't alone with that and forgiveness is important even for the awfulness of things you experienced by, I'm assuming, your parents. They were clearly not healthy. It wasn't your fault. You know, I'm often reminded of that scene in Good Will Hunting where Robin Williams playing Will's therapist, tells him it wasn't his fault. It is so true and I hope everyone that reads this that can relate to those kinds of experiences can embrace that fundamental truth. You didn't deserve it. And, the one's that caused the hurt didn't have a clue of how hurtful they were because they were so hurt themselves as children. It's a cycle that needs to be broken. You are now loving yourself and eating better and taking good care of yourself and breaking the cycle. Wow! That's wonderful, isn't it?! I think if it wasn't for this M, it might have taken a lot longer for you to get to the healthy place you are at now. So, enjoy this birthday 2015 and don't look back. Except at the good times, you deserve those!
God Bless,
Mary
