5/30/2016 4:02:35 AM | Hi again Shari - I am glad Mel approved your post and I will check out the link later.(just checked it out and oh my goodness can you write girlfriend - and I thought I could whip out words - you have me beat - ;) - you must be a natural born writer) ;) And speaking of writing - this is my last post here for a couple of weeks - Anyhow Shari - in your last post - the way you thanked folks for the advice shows an open, humble spirit and you sound like such an awesome woman! You also have a force about you that is admirable - ;) the way your responded to specific things mentioned is a sign of excellence - truly is - and I am not sure if you will be back around to read this reply - but I have been pondering what and IF I should reply and feel this is what God has led me to share. ------ FIrst - keep in mind that my last feedback post to you was really from what I discerned from what you wrote this month! And We know there are limitations to forum Shares (sometimes incomplete, or it can come across different from what we intended) - it is human nature to have ten people perceive different things from the same section! And so "from what I read" in the post --- where you said you were going the medical route now and to get testing done - and where you mentioned maybe not going the natural route anymore - (something like that) What it sounded "to me" like you were implying was that the new medical community path was the elixir or the Mac daddy path. It sounded to me like you were pulling up the boot straps to go an advanced way because it was the better medical way.... ? A "leaky roof example" came to my mind when I read it. It was like someone was saying "ok - I have used a tarp to try and cover the hole in the roof and then I used some Henry caulk - but enough - now I am calling in the roof experts and we will just get a new roof" It felt like (from the way I read what you wrote) that you were implying the protocol was the tarp and you were done. Well it felt like you were saying that the protocol was nice and all but now you are now going to get the medical help (like that was the path you avoided but now want to splurge for..... I know that you already clarified this in your last reply post - and wrote so much from your heart -and i know you are sick and tired of being sick and tired - whew But that was how part of it came across and as I already noted in my reply - Joni Mitchell and many others have already been in the "medical" system for years - and even with the best that money can buy- most of these folks are worse off. Also - if candidiasis and another slime root source is related to this - antibiotics will not get rid of the slime (per Diana at "myradiary") -and so I wish going the medical route would be the answer because I happen to have some darn good health coverage right now and well IMO - it is not the solution. ------ Second, want to reply to vitamin a and probiotics - I want to be extra careful how I respond- and I know you said you did not expect any response when the other replies came pouring in! And as noted - not sure if you will be back around here for a while - but no reply needed - ok? . I want to encourage you and remind you how Great you we at communicating - and like Mel said - you are a fighter and such a warrior woman! Yes! - and you lift others up and just have that social side that is fun! The words "open and honest" are what come to mind with u! And I did go and read your posts in this thread and Mary said it well when she called you funny - inspirational - and energizing. It looks like you have healed from a lot in your past (hugs to u) and your 7-11 story was one of my favs! And two of your posts in this thread are little potent sermons that were spirturally alive and obviously anointed! They should be printed out and read again and again with your powerful scripture shares - so encouraging! And with that said ...... I also want to be VERY careful before I give just "any" feedback because there are limitations to what we know of others from a mere forum! Also - sometimes things only come out a certain way - and then because we are at different places in our healing journey - we can write something one day, but then be in a totally different mode a week later - and to reply to some "venting" posts is moot in some ways. And part of the beauty of your own thread is to be able to come and share and pour out ((within reason - and I can see why it is very helpful for Mel to monitor certain posts from folks - it is never personal - but it is for the better of the group - and there are other outlets for certain venting- right?)) Anyhow - as I write these two things now - ((about vitamin a and probiotics)) please keep in mind it is ONLY from what I perceived from the recent post and from the way it came across - and I am spending ((investing)) my time out of love right now to maybe highlight something helpful for you- if it does not apply - just disregard - but as I know you know - it is only with "accurate" self-awareness that we really grow- and often we can get so caught up in a momentum - we have blinders on some areas - or we forget to pause to objectively assess! So this is in the spirit of love and from my heart! Regarding your "conclusion" about vitamin a - and how you claimed too much but a has dehydrated you? - well it is actually too little vitamin A that has been associated with dehydration - also - the way you declared that you were getting too much vitamin A was a "generalization" not supported with anything sound. How do you know? Did you test for it? Did you even read about it? From what I found about it over the years ((and I am still learning like all of us here -)) but it is really really difficult to get too much vitamin A from food - especially if the food source is beta carotene and many veggies are! and it is usually when folks "supplement" with vitamin A that problems "could" arise - and then it depends on the person - but if they Take too much vitamin A the side effect of too much A is toxicity - not skin dehydration - and this happens when vitamin a is taken in large amounts over long leriods of time - Further - vitamin A is an antioxidant and well - the conclusions you made were not syncing with what I have learned over the years abou this and other vitamins - and as much as I am uncomfortable offering constructive criticism like this - I feel led to as a sister in Christ! Because you write with such authority too - and seem to really believe that you had too much vitamin A - and maybe instead of focusing on so many new recipes (which I know are important to some more than others and have a place - oh yes) but with all your fervor and energy - you could maybe focus more on lesrning more about basic nutrition" and more about the immune system and how it operates. I know everyone does not want to research like this - (just don't have time or desire) And everyone does not need to do this - but the way you write and research - well it seems right up your alley - and a good book I suggest is "prescription for nutritional healing" Balch & Balch 1997 - the second edition from 1997 is the best! And again - when you said rebuilding immunity was becoming an inside joke to you - it seemed again that if u had more information about how immune system functions - you might not EVER say it is a joke - and I know you were venting - but this kind of stuff that you write does drop hints about how you view things. Rebuilding immunity is complex - but it is never a joke. And for the record - no doctor has ever healed anyone- when a person gets better under Doctor care or from even this protocol - it is their immune system that healed the person! And here is what Balch (1997) notes about the immune system: "The immune system is unlike other bodily systems in that it is not a group of physical structures, but a system of complex interactions involving many different organs, structures, and substances, among them white blood cells, bone marrow, the lymphatic vessels and organs, specialized cells found in various body tissues, and specialized substances, called serum factors, that are present in the blood" (p. 524). White blood cells, which have categories called granulofytes - and white blood cells are unique because they have a role in all aspects of immunity and they can pass thru cell walls in the bloodstream! Then the immune system has three types of lymphocytes ( T cells - B cells - and NK cells) The immune system also has monocytes, which are garbage collectors in the blood and after 24 hours they turn to macrophages. Then the immune system has the lymphatic system - which includes organs like spleen - thymus - tonsils - and lymph nodes) The immune system functions as cell mediated immunity and humoral immunity - and side note - the thymic formula by Logos was made because of the role the thymus plays with healing and T cell function - and more stuff that I don't know, but trust - the thymus is the small gland near top of breastbone.... So you see - rebuilding immunity is the crux of what we do for wellness - rebuilding immunity is what you should learn more and more and more about. <3 ;) ---- Also - the section you shared about probiotics - and then shared s part where it was all detailed about testing your probiotics??? - well this is what made me feel led to share here - and trust me - I am not needing to jump in with a new post/ whew - I am actually tired of writing this week and look forward to a nice pause - ha! *** and not complaining in any way - but I know there has been a lot of "lady T" here this month - and So a nice pause is coming for me after this very post! ---- Anyhow - Do you really think all that learning about testing probiotics is a wise time investment? And does this suggest that you do not "trust" the logos flora? Or that you do not " trust " any other probiotics - And again - right after you mention probiotics you write about immunity being a joke - and yes ma'am - we do need to repopulate the good guys in the gut - but are you making this harder that it has to be? You do not have to answer these questions - they are not diret questions - they are to get you thinking-but it seems like you MIGHT view probiotics as the key to immune health - when it is only a part. And when I drink plain kefir - which I buy for three bucks - the swollen bottle and sour taste screams "alive strains" to me! And I do trust the logos GMP on their flora - further - when I bought some probiotics in the past - I bought trustworthy brands - and trader joes even adds a atbaliizer to most of their probiotics. And back in 2005 - I used to buy acidophilus from wal-Mart - but in thise days I was kinda anti supplements and so my stuff would usually sit in fridge or cupboard - anyhow - I was talking to a colleague about probiotics (and mind you this was ten years ago) and told her she could have my bottle - it was opened and in the fridge for a month or two - and guess what!? She took them and said she lost few pounds and said she loved them and would buy more / wnd they were 6 bucks! And so to hear that someone is "testing probiotic strength" has me perplexed - and also supports more of how it appears that one might think probititcs are bigger in this healing role than they are - iyes - they matter - but when I read all that Info from you about "testing" them I felt like it was misplaced focus - not a bad endeavor in and of itself - but is it necessarily the best use of one's time - is it? I mean - if you were getting into the supplement business - then maybe your informal trials can help you formulate - but oh wow could a person get sidetracked with stuff like this - and I guess for me I just do not find it necessary to do ! I trust the products I use -and logos flora has my trust / and then I also buought "good n natural" acidophilus online / super cheap brand - but pretty awesome for these - and I'd open the caps and add them to kefir (do it less now) and I used to buy TJs probiotics and Bluebonnet (with FOS) - And so in my very humble opinion I think you should realize that even if you had the best probiotics - they still have s long way to go to reach the intestines - most don't make it - and so maybe the study time should be learning about doing "L, Bifidus retention enemas" or doing a lemon juice cleansing enema (see Balch book p 546) - because cleansing enemas and retention enemas could be a very powerful thing to learn more about. as you talked about immunity - and that rebuilding it was a joke - well I hear nothing of you mentioning the mucosa lining in the intestines - ? and you see - we need to free up and unclog the mucosa lining so probiotics and all nutrients can be absorbed and put to use in the immune system - and so sweet Shari - use your research skills and your fervor to learn more and more about the human body (and I assume you do know much already) but when I finally realized the small intestine was a major place to clean up here - my focus went there (and the super colon cleanse from Health plus inc and sonnes clay 7 was my turning point--/ and the stuff I passed over a 45 day period was crazy - tubular root systems - filaments - flukes - misc, stuff- numerous kinds of nematodes - and this was late in my healing journey - :0<) So this leads me to Believe that it takes time to reach all of the gut -especially for those of who did not catch it early - But when we crown the mud is lining - more stuff then reaches the bone marrow and bloodstream - ;) and for those who heal in under ten months - I believe it is because they caught it before the root system nestled in and before other things took root. ---- In closing - I am sorry that you cannot sing the way you used to - and pray that your voice will be restored. I also pray for wisdom for you specifically in the area of how you spend your time and with the conclusions you draw! Part of our healing is also by advising and sharing what we have Leanned - and so much of what you share has been to lift others up - <3 like your note to "Tired- Terri"- how wonderful you are Shari! And my biggest advice to you is to pause and take a hard look as objectively as you can - how are you generalizing? - are you spending a lot of time in areas that only freak you out and rob you of doing more helpful research? Are you having sources of sugar that are hidden? When I saw you mention manuka honey 2x - red flags go up - that is sugar - and it feeds MD - so extra look for hidden sugar! And I beg you to check out the Balch & Balch (1997) nutrition book (2nd Ed is the best and it is like 5 bucks used) - and also check out a site called "myradiary" by a lady named Diana - she had RA,so it is different from MD - but her info in Candidiasis cleansing is top notch! It could change your life! And spend some time learning more about hydration - because we hydrate from the inside out and we hydrate with good fats -oils and with salts - (per "marks daily Apple") now we still need daily water - but not in the way many think - and further - meeting skin hydration needs topically is not the main way to do it. We hydrate from the inside out. Just like we heal this way (per Ty Bollinger) And so - remember that enzymes - amino acids - vitamins and minerals work synergistically - and try not to "project" or get all worried about too much vitamin A and other things from veggies -but if you are supplementing with vitamin A you should stop .--- cos then you could get too much. And here again is why I like logos Products - Each formula blend was made with synergy in mind. And so hopefully a bonus for the money we spend on them is that one can rest in the products - and then put the focus on the additional things they need- which led me to my nice health plus colon cleanse and sonne's 7 (and God will show you exactly what you need just like he talks to you about all those other things) Have a nice day and again - please remember this is from my heart and is in no way meant to disrespect - it is just the nicest way I know how to point out a few things you might want to consider as you ponder your next decisions. Take care and God bless <>( <>< |
