Dear Shari ,

I too had a bug fear before becoming infected with Morgellons. It's funny, one morning my alarm went off early as usual at 4:30 am for work. The first thing I saw was a giant roach on my wall when I opened my eyes. The second it felt the vibrations of my alarm, it went flying around the room. Yes, I know , as my husband said roaches don't fly, must have been a beetle that looked like a roach. Before morgellons, I would have had a panic attack that would have disrupted my efforts to kill it. But I sprang right into action and killed this giant bug, chasing it around the room and under my bed with a can of Lysol like I was trained my whole life to do it. I've put so much fear into this disease, the sensations that come from it, the excessive house cleaning which I always feel is never enough, that I literally have no room left for any fear in any other area of my life. I guess I can thank God for that. My favorite radio station is 103.7 "air one" here in Texas. They are always playing a sound bite of a pastor saying that God works all things for good. He can take the ugliest, darkest periods of our lives and make good come out of it. I will never again take my life or my job for granted. I've lost the desire to make more money to make life comfortable. I just want to be physically comfortable at work. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband, a beautiful one bedroom apartment, and coworkers that care about me. I am very sad that I ever expressed any anger towards him for contracting this disease. He is getting me better day by day despite me questioning if he even existed after I went to about 4 different doctors. I am done being angry with God. God is good and this disease has made me a better person. It's taught me that you never know what secrets someone has and what they are going through. Shari I will keep you in my prayers.

P.s.- MEL
I have been trying to put my thoughts into an email to you that is not overwhelming because I have about a hundred questions. Thank God for your site, since learning the importance of diet I am not experiencing these episodes where I feel like my whole body is being attacked by sonic speed fire aunts. Sugar really is the devil apparently...
