well I only reintroduced xylitol recently after many months of not having it, so it's not too bad to stop it immediately. When I took it before I was on medicine that helped fungal issues so I couldn't tell that it didn't agree, but I can tell now. I do think the body really does gravitate towards foods in their natural state. I did try stevia, but it was liquid form and I didn't like it, I much prefer adding cinnamon and ginger powder to my oatmeal to sweeten it and that is nice :-). I drink lots of lemon water and lime so get nice alkaline fruits that way, Marie encouraged me and I have that every day. I add two raw garlic cloves daily now to my diet and am going to completely cut out starchy vegetables and stick to cruciferous ones instead.. I will miss potatoes, but only had one bag every two weeks so won't be that difficult to leave out.
Regarding grains, I have oatmeal and brown rice and quinoa, do you think I should cut out the brown rice and just have quinoa. Oatmeal I have for breakfast and the other grains maybe two or three times a week. I find pulses are OK, eating romaine lettuce at night with cooked food, getting used to large salad leaves and crunching away, the chopped raw garlic doesn't even bother me.
I just thought I would warn people re xylitol in case it affects anyone else.
Thanks! C |
