Cate 9/4/2017 10:23:29 AM | I would like to know if anyone has found a good solution as far as winter coats go. What has anyone found is the best material, to stay warm, and yet not be a problem/keep clean? Nylon and polyester are good materials, but most winter coats that have any warmth either have fiberfill batting, or wool/cotton. I haven't seen this addressed anywhere in the forum, and am wondering what has worked well for people/if anyone has had an issue with this. |

I followed Ellen's advice, which is to spray a coat or a jacket with Kleen Green every time after you have worn it, inside and out and then sit it on a hook or hanger to dry off. I also washed my coats and jackets if they were machine washable, probably every few months. I've never felt they were a problem treated like this. God bless, Ruth |

Light warm layering is good for under a wind proofed waterproof fabric jacket. A wool coat doesn't touch your skin so you have no reason to fear it. some find fleece material warm enough. A coat will need dry cleaning once a year. Nothing can harm you worn away from the skin. Nothing seems to warm you in early stages of morgs as the body seems not to be able to warm itself(from my experience) but as you get better wear whatever you are comfortable with. What sort of winter coat do you usually have? Try not to fret about things or fibres in clothing. Just spray with kleen green. |
