My daughter and I really struggled with this last year.
We are now approaching our 9th month on the protocol and don't anticipate this winter will be nearly as difficult.
If you are early in recovery, I would suggest using resale or some less expensive stores to purchase coats. We used nylon or polyester with a thin fill and washed in WPS after every other use. Washable material is a must.
We had a serious problem with re-infection at the time and, even with regular washing, still ended up needing to purchase several coats for each of us through the year.
We were in WI at the time and limited our exposure to the outdoors because this was such an issue.
Thank the Lord that symptoms improve on this protocol.
Clothing is not near the issue that it was 8 months ago!
