Hi Brian,

It's normal to feel as you do right now. We've all been there.

I understand what you're saying about the mites believe my vector was from a birds nest on my front porch ceiling that was close to a vent in the attic.

After cleaning out the attic, I started noticing symptoms of something crawling under my skin.

I'd been cleaning out my attic over several weekends, and sometime during that time a mud swallow had built a bird's nest on my porch ceiling.

What was ironic is, I'd had bead board installed on the ceiling and had it painted blue because that was supposed to keep wasps nests and birds away. NOT.

I rarely go in and out the front door, so I hadn't seen the bird's nest. My neighbors told me about it because they always sit on their front porch and had seen it.

I wanted to knock it down right away, but they said to wait or the mother bird would fly at me and attack. They said to wait a couple of weeks and the birds would be gone.

Well...I did...and the birds were gone...but apparently not before leaving "gifts."

I had a professional service come and remove the nest and spray some "special solution" to keep the birds from coming back and to sanitize the area.

That did not work because the birds came back the next year and tried to build a nest in the exact same place. Also...whatever was left in the bird's nest found ME.

That was three years ago.

It took another 18 months for it to turn into Morgellons. However, I was not suffering from the collembola the whole time. I'd gotten rid of it and then opened a space bag with a cushion in it I'd saved and then got it again...and three months later I had MD.

I've recently thought that I so wish I'd known then what I know now because I could have gotten well so much faster.

What I finally figured out I had was collembola...which is the tiniest thing...like a mite is the size of a football and the collembola is the size of the head of a pin...that kind of small.

You cannot see it.

It drives you nuts.

It's quorum sensing, so it moves around so quickly it's almost like it's on your arm one minute and a slice of a nanosecond later it ran to your ankle.

You're terrified you're contagious.

Maybe you have the same thing...

If so...what to do?

First of all...get super tight on your diet.

If you've already done that...keep doing it.

Secondly...Kleen Green...use it on your skin all the time. It'll really help.

Next...sulfur shampoo (like Nizoral) and sulfur soap.

Also...an ozone machine if you can get one.

Next...get rid of anything with cotton in it for now. Think cheap synthetic everything. That won't last forever either. Bag up all your cotton sheets, towels, etc. after washing them.

I had some old polyester pillow cases...those became my towels and bath mats...I washed clothes ALL the time because I bathed all the time.

And...I did get rid of the collembola...and as crazy making as it is, it's actually easier to get rid of than Morgellons. That's because it's faster to treat...won't take near as long as MD.

I did get rid of all my pillows and throw pillows (except that one cushion...grrrr)...and I did get all new mattresses. I'm not sure getting rid of all of that was necessary...but after my adventure with the cushion in the space bag, I'm glad I did.

Collembola requires lots of cleaning of the environment until you get it under control...I used to constantly vacuum walls and ceilings in my bedroom...but...I didn't have to do that anymore once I got an ozone machine...and I didn't have to use the ozone machine for all that long.

For some reason Collembola will really go crazy if you get stressed. I sometimes wonder if it thrives on cortizol or something...no idea...but I do know calming down helps.

As far as being around people...I didn't let anyone come to my house for a while...but sooner than that I'd go around people. I was just very careful...lots of use of Kleen Green.

Now people come over and spend the night...NO ONE has ever felt what I felt. I think that's because of all my precautions...and I'd gotten rid of it in my house. Plus...no one went in my attic which was where I'd originally gotten bitten...or whatever.

This is also the time I bathed constantly.

I made a master bath out of an adjoining bedroom and have a beautiful huge claw foot tub on heart pine floors that I'd lovingly refinished myself. I spent time decorating it...antiques...a little gas log fire place...so lovely...but...at that time I started hating to even go in that bathroom...because I lived in it...I was so sick of my bathtub I wanted to scream...but...at the time, all the bathing did help with the collembola.

And...it didn't last forever...it went away...so now I bathe like a normal person.

Of course...MD came and took the place of the collembola...but...now I have that on the run because now I know how.

So...don't give up. This will not last forever if you get on it.

Try to relax and know that you're on the right track and that this too shall pass.
