Maria
Dear Chrissie,

So wonderful to hear from you! ;-)

Although I have not been active in the weekly calls, I do read the forum to keep up with all the new people and their progress.

It has taken me 5 bumpy years to get well. I made every mistake in the book along the way (I can hear Mel chuckling, and see him nodding his head vigorously!).
I experienced quite a lot of stress and sadness during these last five years on top of my battle with MD. I lost two of my brothers, and my husband was laid off from his job. But slowly, steadily progress was made, thanks to God, Mel, and the sum of the parts.
I learned that more drops of WPS are not necessarily needed or even good...Mel tried to tell me that for a long time, and I finally heard him.

What is important--Never ever giving up hope!

Following the diet (just get back on it when you slip up) and drinking that water!
getting enough sleep and rest solid self-care through exercise, prayer/meditation, and relaxation.

Don't mix protocols--stick to this one--it works!

Finding ways and time to distract yourself, doing something you enjoy.
For me, binge-watching all seasons of "Frasier" kept me sane, human, and chuckling even during the very darkest nights when my symptoms were so bad that sleep was impossible.

I hope my story gives each of you struggling with this dread disease hope and inspiration to keep plugging away. It's baby steps all the way, but you will get there!

love,
Maria,
