GPL Lab TestingCritical Addition to the Protocol: Lab Testing
Sometimes the last thing we learn becomes the first thing we need to do. Such is the testing from Great Plains Laboratory brought to us by Pamela Crane, a recovering Morgellons sufferer and dedicated patient advocate who has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Morgellons community.
Pam's website, Morgellons Focus , provides assistance with locating Morgellons knowledgeable doctors and accessing testing (OAT metabolic profile and Comprehensive Stool Testing) to help you fine tune this protocol to address your unique challenges.
As
I have mentioned from the beginning of the creation of this website,
all of our bodies are slightly different and therefore may require a
different anti-biotic or anti-fungal medication than the ones that
worked for me. The Great Plains Lab testing will pinpoint which
anti-biotic and/or anti-fungal will work best for you.
This will ensure the quickest way to restore your
health. We recommend you get onto the basic protocol as listed other
than the anti-biotic and anti-fungal until you get your testing
results.
This is the process:
First
of all, it is best to make an appointment with a GPL recommended
doctor. They are most familiar with interpreting the expanded set of
data available through GPL's testing procedures, and they are
increasingly more likely to be familiar with how your results relate to
Morgellons.
To find a GPL recommended doctor, email Pam at: Pamela@morgellonsfocus.com or visit Morgellons Focus.
It
should not be expected that the doctors will just 'SIGN OFF' on tests
without seeing you. They need to see you for an appointment, at which
time they will conduct a physical exam and medical history. Please give
them that professional courtesy... it is in your best interest. While
we have learned much about Morgellons, we are still not 'the Doctor'.
Yes,
you can order tests on line at the GPL web site, but guess what? Great
Plains may send the testing out to you, but you must have a
'Practitioner' to sign off for, receive and interpret the test results.
You may already have a practitioner that is willing to see you
and read the GPL testing; that is great. The testing is not rocket
science for any doctor to read but requires a little more coaching.
Your practitioner may make a 15 minute appointment
with Great Plains Lab to get a quick course on what is
covered, why, and how it works for your individual body. This service is free to your doctor and will only take a small amount of his time.
Why Great Plains Labs?
The GPL testing can detect the presence of bacteria, fungi, and parasites, and assess the overall integrity of metabolic function. Based upon your test results, a practitioner can identify nutritional deficits and recommend supplements, natural herbs and/or pharmaceuticals to help resolve infections or imbalances and speed your recovery.
The highly skilled lab technicians at Great Plains are trained to look for a broader spectrum of pathogens than standard lab results typically show.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email Pam at: pamela@morgellonsfocus.com
Please Volunteer Your Test Data!
We would like to thank those of you that have volunteered your test
data for Pam to document your findings. By gathering the volunteered
test data from Morgellons friends who offer their lab results, we are
hoping to uncover patterns and establish commonalities that will lead
to new discoveries and quicker recoveries.
Just let Pam know when you contact her that you would like to have your data included in her research and she will send you a release form. The data being collected is being
maintained in strictest confidence, and all identities will remain
anonymous.
