Hello Ms V.,

Thank you for being brave to post and share here and I'm sure that you will find it a big help to carry on doing so.

Well done for all that you are doing, getting started with things on the protocol and working on a diet plan.

Like you I have always been the one in the family who cares for others and like you found it very scary worrying about infecting others. I have a husband who accepts I have morgellons but doesn't want to talk about it. (Its lovely that your husband is so supportive) I've had symptoms now for about 18 months and been on the protocol for 12 months and feel I am 90% better and he has shown no signs of the disease at any time. My son in his twenties who lives at home and is autistic has dry flaky skin and I've sometimes worried about him and have started him on some supplements but so far there is no sign of morgellons disease in him. I have a mum and an aunt both in their eighties who each live in their own houses, six miles away from me and need quite a bit of practical help from me. There's no one else apart from me to help them so I've had to just carry on and pray! I was very sparing with hugs in the beginning and sprayed our house with Kleen Green liberally and kept hoovering but as yet they are both fine. Plus I have two daughters, one left home now and one at university who comes home for holidays and they are both ok so far. So I hope this is a bit comforting and encouraging for you that not everyone who comes into contact with us catches it and we can't always cut ourselves off from everybody.

I have three cats and they were a big concern so I did my best to tackle their diet and give a nutrition supplement, plus MMS water. Plus Kleen Green do some pet products and the cats get treated with pet spray.

I'm hoping that by sharing this it will help to lessen your anxiety. All you can do is to clean as your energy allows and to start concentrating on getting yourself well. Getting well so that I can keep looking after everyone was a major motivation for me to keep strictly to all the parts of the protocol.

I've tried to cut back on social events to conserve energy and allow for resting but there have been some family events that I've needed to just carry on as normal in. So I understand when you talk about having a parallel life!

I'm so grateful that God knows and understands all that's going on and I've found that asking Him for help, grace, strength and wisdom in all of these things has been a big help plus praying for protection from the disease for others.

I started off very anxious about it all, especially when I woke up in the morning and remembered what was going on but it has got better, especially when we're on the protocol and start to see things improving. Yes, there are still ups and downs and challenges along the way but having made the decision to start means that you are on your way!

God bless,
Ruth
