7/7/2015 7:25:33 PM | I have a quick question about sugar. I don't want to start a new thread everytime I have a question so I decided to post it here. I've experienced hypoglycemia twice since I discovered I had Morgellons and both times I ate a fruit cup to stabilize my blood sugar (the second time around, I drank the syrup too). Low blood sugar is not an issue for me but forgetting about my energy reserves is (I walk a lot and sometimes I walk on an empty stomach which causes my blood sugar to drop...and the fact that it's summer right now, meaning really hot weather almost everyday, also contributes to it). I've been really good with staying away from sugar but I honestly don't know what to eat when my blood sugar drops (I'm always at work when this happens and I work at a snack food chain so there's really no good options for me). Will this affect the Morgellons and should I be worried? I'm trying my best not to make it harder on myself but I can't just not eat whenever I experience low blood sugar. Can I? Is that even healthy? Just wait till it passes? I mean I have considered it but both times I experienced this I was just starting my shift (about 1-2 hours in or nearing the halfway point) so had I chosen to wait it out it would've been about 3-4 hours before I could actually eat anything (we get a 15 minute break but as I mentioned earlier there's really nothing to eat at my job, or on the entire block for that matter, that's good for me). I'm thinking that because I actually needed to raise my blood sugar to normal levels it shouldn't be that big of a deal. But you just never know with this condition. Sugar is bad either way right? So I'm kinda at a loss about what to do in that situation. I'm also at a loss about how to balance out the sugar. So if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanx :) |
