DONNA HAS ONCE AGAIN PROVEN, THAT THOSE WHO DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE GET WELL!

Hello Everyone,

I apologize for being so late in expressing my gratitude for the beautiful birthday posts. I would like to thank all of you but especially Anna, Leslie, Jamie, Robin, Mary W., Karen, Tracy and last but definitely not least our Mel from the bottom of my heart!

All of you in this community are a gift to me that I truly treasure!

Two years ago right before my 58th birthday, I got the horrid gift of M, but I'm happy to say for my 60th birthday that I received the best gift ever - my health, free of M! I never thought that I would be so excited to celebrate getting older!

I didn't have a party or huge celebration but just being able to celebrate was such a huge milestone.

My husband, children, and grandchildren took me out to eat and I so enjoyed! Let me tell you what I ate, but remember this was a special occasion and I do not eat like this on a regular basis.

Okay, I had a glass of red wine to start, then I order fried soft shell crab and shrimp served over grilled eggplant with a side of sweet potato fries (I only ate five fries) which was so delicious.
My husband to my surprise, secretly ordered bread pudding for me instead of cake. He knows that is one of my favorite desserts. My four year old granddaughter shared with me and agreed it was divine!

Mel asked me to share this, not to gloat, but to encourage you all that wellness can be achieved and you can eat things you love in moderation.

So please, please never give up! You all can be where I am.

As Ellen of Troy said (and I share her sentiments) "If I can do it, anybody can!"

God bless you all - See you all at the finish line!

Love,

Donna
