Janice:

I am new too and am also on a blacklist for the medical profession as 'delusional'. I have the added benefit of actually trying to commit suicide in my mid twenties and have been institutionalized twice due to the lack of concern that I got there from an abusive relationship with no help and no where to go. News flash...I'm now forty, very strong and will never let someone reduce me to such a level that I feel like I have to remove myself from the planet to make everyone else happy. I do know your frustration. I have been battling Morgellons without realizing it for almost six years. Mainly just rashes that come and go until this last January when it has turned into something very bazaar. My friends and family are not supportive, they were at first until now unemployed due to the severe lesions; I seem to be everyone's worst fear. I have reported my situation to the local Health Department after being severely abused by local medical professionals with the typical you did this to yourself and here... take this anti-depressant. I am a fighter, a huge one, I've survived beating after beating from so many people that nothing phases me anymore. I have been working with a local physician after seeing several before him and although his initial sense was a form of dermatitis his medication have only excellerated things for me. Once he saw a lesion appear before his eyes he now has given me two referrals. I have gotten rid of the ichy/crawling sensations by using green tea, aloe vera and tumeric (a parasite remover) both drinking it and bathing (with epsom salts) in it, unfortunately the things coming out of the skin, hair, nose and everywhere else just keep coming. I just finished a double dose of Erythimiasin antibiotic and are now using Bactriban ointment on the skin. Get tough Janice (not an easy thing I know,I've cried in the office to) but do try to go to a doctor who will listen, you won't get rid of this without the medication I've tried for years without any relief. I had to call every doctor in the phone book (just so you know you have to hit it hard). I am just slowing my problem right now. I was refused care by the Mayo Clinic and later my docor's referral to University of Colorado so I reported it to the local News team. They helped me get into an infectious disease specialist at the University dispite the refusal from their Dermatology division. Another thing, I have had difficulty getting my own test results, they won't examine me properly, they refuse testing (brought them skin samples)for bacteria and staph, and on this next appointment at the University I plan to get this situation taken care of by making serious demands. If this fails I was told you can go into your local ER and demand to be tested as well be seen by an infectious disease professional (call you local hospitals, most have someone in this division on staff at all times). If you have to go this route, try and find someone who somewhat believes you to come with for support, even maybe another Morgellons sufferer that wants help too. Most of all, I'd like to say since we all seem to find road stops why are we not grouping together and all walking into a clinic so we all can get the help we all seem to be denied. Call the local news team to film it! Leave a message if anyone is interested in this one and I'll start leaving a contact email address once I get enough offers. I have a legal contact in Florida who won't take me alone, but if I had people behind me, they may just at least help us get doctors who will treat us as actually having a disease. I'm mad people, this thing is a living nightmare and you can't even file for disability because you can't get diagnosed properly. When it affects you to losing your jobs, then medical attention gets difficult. Who's as mad as I am, you need to voice it now so we can do something together.
