johnb 8/2/2010 11:15:02 AM | Hi Laurie, Excellent suggestion! We can and should be praying for them... to be led to this site. Unfortunately, this plague is going to continue to assert itself, and modern (compartmentalized) medicine is too distracted to deal with the progressive failure of a patient's bioterrain... not that they would recognize it anyway, because they aren't taught to think that way. When a doctor is confronted with a Morgellons patient, he is baffled and torn between curiosity and consternation. What is going on here? Is he putting himself and his staff at risk in treating it? Does he dare put his license on the line by going against the accepted practice of official medical dogma? All the while, the urgency of his work load is there. Most docs choose the expedient path. They dismiss it as DOP and move on to the next patient whom they can presumably help. THANK GOD for the ones who value human life more than profit or expediency, who are putting themselves at risk personally and professionally to recognize the horror their patients are going through and are doing something about it. Laurie 8/2/2010 11:15:02 AM | Hi Everyone! I was SHOCKED when this happened to me a few days ago! I haven't felt good enough to write sooner, and am waiting for my MMS!!!!! Anyway - this woman, who lives approx 5 hours south of me, works at this place I pay a bill on the telephone for, and we have developed a friendly/personal relationship on the phone. We look forward every month to talking. She SHOCKED ME!!! She has known for YEARS I have been fighting an Unknown Skin Disease. She asked how I was. I told her I have some new hope after finding this website, and learning of some things I can do, etc. She told me she is VERY worried about these brown circles on her very lower legs, ankles and feet!!! She asked if I thought it could be Morgellons? She told me she went to MANY doctors, and not ONE can diagnos what is wrong with her. She is drained of money - no insurance - and feels like she is being bit, bugs crawling all over her, etc!!! She doesn't know WHAT TO DO!!!! I offered her his website, but she said for now she is going to try to live with it. I explained it will eventually spread and you WON'T be able to live with it. She told me next month when I call she will take the information down. I explained in great detail what my lesions/sores/ulcerations look like. I also explained to her my legs were the first place to break out as well. She is now scared. But, can you believe this is spreading like WILDFIRE!!!! A more or less complete STRANGER is asking ME about Morgellons???? I did tell her I am not a doctor, and can only tell her what my things look like, etc, etc, etc. There are SO MANY MORE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAN WHAT WE EVEN KNOW THAT HAVE THIS AFFLICTION!!! TO ME, THIS 'IS' SCARY!!! People aren't talking about it, AND don't know WHO to talk to about it!!!! Imagine the THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS WHO ARE ALL ALONE IN THE DARK ABOUT ALL OF THIS!!! We can only pray for them!!! |
