Hi Gigi,
Thanks for the response. Your doing candida diet, right? If you wouldn't mind, what all is on your diet? What do you think has made the biggest difference there? I think you maybe told me once on MCS blog (I go by a different name there), but I'm not sure.
Also, not sure if I'm going to try the barley. My food prep, shopping, caring for kids with different diet needs, etc, is already big time commitment. We'll see.

To Susanne,
with respect, I'm of the belief that there is no "it" per se. I am in nearly full agreement with the email which Mr. CS quoted. But we are all free to expolore ideas and exchange info, and for that I am very grateful to Mel and Mr. CS and to the internet, without all of whom and which I would be in far worse shape and alone besides!

To Pamela Mae,
I think John B. somewhere said in a great post that there is a time and a place for anti-bacterials, -virals, etc. to support the body through specific infections. But over time, the fungal, viral and bacterial load will get lighter, one battle at a time, and the body, if we take the right steps to support it, will get stronger and become a better fighter ultimately. I probably did not paraphrase it well, but his post made a lot of sense to me.

Personally, I do believe that if we make the tree strong enough, the bugs will go. Naive and overly simplistic perhaps? I can see that there is a factor in "Morgellons", a sort of compounding, cascading factor which makes getting better sort of like amassing enormous debt--it becomes a black hole that is crushing and feels impossible to climb out of because the different components all sort of magnify eachother and contribute to further downward spiral. On the other hand, I believe this is simply the the mirror image of what a healthy body does. A healthy body is a sort of miracle of intelligence, but it needs the right support. I think that if we mess with the imputs enough (and most of us have, with our diets, synthetic chemicals in our homes and meds, and pollution in our world) our bodies begin to fall apart. And so we throw at our bodies more anti-biotics, pesticides, commercial laundry detergents, etc, but then we are even further from where we want to be, and our health seems irretrievably lost. How much more support our bodies need in this fight to get to a place of normalcy. This is my understanding of Morgellons at this time.

For you, it seems you have taken a very proactive approach and that you have a wonderful doctor who can help you target exactly what you need. Best of luck in your treatment.
