Welcome! I always loved this name, I think I am going to name a Sim after you tonight. ;)
I know the feeling of getting depressed over this VERY WELL. I can relate! It is initially totally disheartening when you realize you have this. Just a tip: Don't scratch as this is one way for them to spread - kinda like chicken pox but MUCH worse consequences and very few treatments available in comparison.
Skin specialists are the last people to go to I've found. What you have is very real, it isn't in their book though. :)
Unfortunately, we will need to wait for them to update those books but in the meantime...
