Here is a recipe I recently found, for a great snack I wanted to share. It is a nice alternative to the high carb snacks out there. It is high in protein, and excellent way to get spices/nutrients, for those who are modifying their diet.
Ingredients 2/3 cup almonds 2/3 cup pecans 2/3 cup walnuts 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon celtic sea salt 1 tablespoon olive oil
1. Place nuts in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat 2. Toast until lightly browned 3. While nuts are toasting, prepare spice mixture 4. Combine chili, cumin, black pepper and salt in a small bowl 5. Coat nuts with olive oil, then coat with spice mixture 6. Serve
