Peter 12/6/2012 1:30:09 PM | Hello Maybe it's the time of year or maybe it's the growing sentimentality that seems to come when you realize the number of people who are sick and in need. But as the year draws to a close, I feel an obligation to give thanks to the Foundation and to Mel and John. The Foundation fundraising work is done day in and day out often in the face of what could best be described as insurmountable challenges and you never miss a beat. When funding for sick and desperate people is needed, you find creative alternatives to make sure that those of us who are sick and financially exhausted are still able to access services. When new obstacles make it difficult for us to continue, you partner together and through the Foundation to develop and fund a true continuum of care for those of us that depend upon it. When I'm talking with my peers who are afflicted from around the country, I like to brag about the foundations selfless contributions. Truth be told, I've been known to boast (just a little) about all the innovative things going on with the website and the Foundation. Whether it's a new support product from John, or the recent extended protocol from Mel, the incredible work done here and through the Foundation every single day makes me and this community of souls feel valued. Without the dedication to finding needed funds and your commitment to assist, our recovery would be so much more difficult. Perhaps it's not said nearly as often as it should be. So on behalf of all of us who so depend on the Foundation, please accept our sincerest thanks as it continues to provide for us and expand the world of possibilities for becoming well again!! I am blessed to have friends like you, your wife Trisha and Rick. You guys not only talk the talk, but as they say down in Georgia, y'all walk the walk. We all watch each other grow and develop as human beings. Thanks again for all the kind words.
