Hello, everyone.
As I sit here with a concoction on my head in order to try and drive the morgies out of my hair and scalp, I thought I would share a wonderful moment I had at school today that I found to be very uplifting.
One of my junior students from last year gave me a beautiful card today with a gorgeous monarch butterfly on a flower that she had meticulously drawn on the front. It looks like a professional created it. I had written her a letter of recommendation for college, and this is the sweet note she wrote inside:
“I wanted to think you so much for writing my letter of recommendation! The letter brought tears to my eyes. The reason one of my top career choices is to teach English literature is because throughout all of my years in school, you have been my biggest inspiration, and I hope to be just like you. Thank you so much for everything!”
She has no idea how ill I have been, or she probably wouldn’t actually want to be “just like me”!!!
However, I believe it was God’s way of saying hello today.
