I realized that I have never welcomed you to our community. Welcome Jamie! I look forward to getting to know you. You have found a wonderful place. It is truly an amazing group of kind and caring people led by Mel, who is a remarkable man in many ways. As you have been here a little while, I know you have experienced it. We are here for you.
I just wanted to touch on your question "How did you know you were getting better?". I have asked that question many times too. I now understand why it is not an easy question to answer.
In my case, it has been a gradual process. Symptoms started to lessen and I started to feel more normal, like I did before M. Sometimes I took two steps forward and one step backward.
For instance, I had felt absolutely no itching on my scalp in a long time and then late one evening, my scalp started to itch intensely. I was upset and thought that I was regressing. Well, after talking to Mel, the next morning, we were able to figure out what had caused it. I had eaten a little pumpernickel bread, which caused the itching reaction.
In my opinion, everyone's recovery is a little different. Some say their healing is sudden, while others, like me, feel it is a gradual process. But all that matters is that we will get well!
Keeping you and all in prayer.
God Bless,
Donna |
