Hi Jamie,

It sounds like you're making some great progress! One of the biggest gains is obviously in your energy level. Grading that many research papers in two days is amazing...even for someone with zero health issues. You are truly a warrior on every level.

Your assignments sound really engaging. I'd love to come and "audit" one of your classes. It would be wonderful to participate in the kinds of deeper conversations about literature that I find so enjoyable. Your kids' perspectives of and reactions to the content have to keep you laughing all the time. No wonder you enjoy it so much.

After thirty years, retirement does become compelling though...I can see why it's on your mind. I'm at twenty nine and am having very mixed feelings about the thought of retirement. There's a comfort level of having mastered the skills you've worked a lifetime to develop, and the respect of community and colleagues is a well earned reward.

However...retirement would offer opportunities to really take care of your health and to have some years to thrive.

In any case, you're definitely on the road to a better life. Once you get well from M and Lyme, you'll be in such good shape because of the supplements and diet, the sky will be the limit on the choices that lie ahead of you.

So happy you're making progress!

Love,

Karen
