I want to thank Karen and Donna, once again, for the wonderful Saturday conference call focused on food.
I really meant what I said on the call...between the two of you...plus Anna and Cheryl...I have gotten SO much help and advice that it has completely revolutionized my life in a shockingly short period of time.
Let me just tell you, I love my mother dearly, God bless her soul, but just about all of my negative associations with food trace back to her. She didn’t teach me how to cook or grocery shop. She didn’t teach me how to eat in a healthy way. She didn’t see the earliest warning signs about how sensitive to foods that I was, even as a child. In her defense, she did the best that she could with the information that she had at the time.
I now WANT to eat. I now WANT to prepare food. I now WANT to try new recipes. I now WANT to be in my kitchen. Those four changes promise to improve the quality of my life FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I feel so much better since I forced myself to listen to the advice of people who know much more than I do. The changes were decades overdue, and I appreciate all of the advice and recipes and documents that helped me.
