Hello, everyone!

God is truly great and has just sent a tremendous blessing my way right after I allowed myself to become a tad bit deflated due to the full moon—Mel likes to say that it is the “nervous Nelly” in me. I really hate admitting that he is right! LOL!

This past Thursday afternoon, right as the full moon period began, I had blood work drawn. I asked my Lyme doctor to run the following tests:

(1) the “regular” stuff (white blood count, red blood count, etc.)

(2) iodine (because I tend to be borderline)

(3) CD-57 (for the very first time)

(4) Vitamin D

(5) a full thyroid panel (because I have had so many issues)

To my SHOCK, and I mean SHOCK, I received tremendous results yesterday to the point that I had the audacity to email Mel during the hockey game to tell him the really blessed news. Apparently, he even pulled himself away from a really critical hockey game (with a big nudge from Karen!) to read my email and respond with “congratulations!” He even spoke with me briefly today on his day off because it really was a moment for me in this journey.

Here are the results!!!

(1) 100% normal...no signs of an elevated white count or a suppressed red count...issues I have had for years.

(2) just slightly below normal range because I had stopped supplementing myself with iodine every third day...that is an easy fix and will, no doubt, stabilize when I am better.

(3). 104!!! (I had a friendly bet going with Karen, Donna, and Maria about this one, and I think I completely shocked all of them as well!) I would have been happy to be anywhere near 60, the lower end of the “normal” range. When Donna did her “happy dance” call, she had just come in at around 160. I am no scientist or medical person, but my unsophisticated understanding is this: my killer T cells have started working again, which means that my immune system is functioning much better than it was!!!

(4) My vitamin D is at 55...it was at 99 at one point, and John B. and I eliminated my D as part of the protocol—as well as my morning Magnifical—so that I wouldn’t run high on D because my level had built up at rocket-like speed. I spoke with John B. today, and we mutually decided to put me back on the additional Magnifical, which made me really happy! While I was on the phone with him, I thanked him profusely for his products...and for his father...and for the wonderful man that he is and company that he runs.

(5) My thyroid panel made me cry—in a good way. Not six months ago, I spiked a TSH of 15 (which, by the way, is alarming) and told myself that I would do whatever it took to get that number as close to the 1-2 range as I could. I am now at a 3.5!!! (Donna guessed that number right on the nose!!!). My T-3 and T-4 numbers had stabilized two months ago, and they remain that way. This is the first time in YEARS that I have had a completely normal thyroid panel—my erratic thyroid was a super early sign for me that something was terribly wrong. I reduced that number without ANY thyroid medication—despite several endocrinologists’ warnings that I might regret that decision. The protocol was more than enough to fix that huge problem with my body. With a properly functioning thyroid gland, it will (no doubt) accelerate my healing in other arenas.

First and foremost, I have GOD to thank. He is the ultimate healer and has answered my pleas...my many pleas...through daily prayers.

I also have Mel to thank. Publicly. Without his coaching and a combination of heartfelt empathy + the hockey stick when I needed it, I could not have done this.

I also have had A LOT of specific help from Donna, Karen, Cheryl, and Maria. Although I have never spoken directly to Anna, the work she did with Karen on the food front is probably the #1 reason why, the past 3-4 months, my healing has noticeably accelerated. I am starving the little critters right out of my body. Laura has provided me with spiritual inspiration and the kindest of posts, even though I have never spoken to her directly, either. All of the regulars on Sunday’s conference calls have been a HUGE HUGE HUGE help as well.

I honestly have EVERYONE on the forum to thank. Without all of you, I fear I would have lost hope a long time ago. I have had access to all sorts of helpful information. I have developed the dearest of friendships that will last a lifetime. I have been able to post my journey and have others respond to those posts. It is a source of daily inspiration. It is a lifeline.

This morning in New England was gorgeous: the sun was out, not a cloud in the sky. As I was driving to work at 6 am, I found myself experiencing something I NEVER thought I would experience again. JOY. JOY. JOY. I had honestly forgotten what JOY feels like. I played (well, blasted!) a bunch of songs that I like after I prayed to God and thanked him for the tremendous blessings he has bestowed upon me, and I asked him to help each and every one of you as well. I don’t say things like that just to say them. I truly mean them. One of the things that I have learned through this journey is that there is a lot of suffering on this planet. I have a responsibility to be a ray of sunshine even when I feel terrible. I have a responsibility to help others in any way I can. That is what God calls us to do: to love others as Jesus did.

I’d like to end this post with a passage from Ephesians as my way of thanking ALL of you for your support. I still have a long way to go in my journey, but I have reached a significant landmark. Please trust in this website and the protocol...and above all else, trust God.

Ephesians 3: 14-20

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

With much sincerity and love,

Jamie
