Just want to give everyone a quick update.
So much for enjoying my final semester of teaching.
This week, my school is 100% online. We are closed indefinitely.
I had 48 hours to learn how to teach online. Let me just say this: this has NOT been an enjoyable experience so far. I feel so disconnected from my colleagues and students already.
I had to cancel my retirement party because of the virus. It was scheduled for May 7th, a celebration of my 32 years of teaching. Oh well. It is what it is.
Please send positive thoughts my way as I navigate this first full week of online teaching. Survival is the name of the game. I should be a pro at survival by now. I’m sure God will get me through this like he has gotten me through so many other difficult experiences.
