Just to add my two cents, Jesscia... start mms soaks, for the head, as well as borax with a little apple cider vinegar. This will draw things out of your scalp, but, Andy is right... Get on the protocol. This stuff is living inside your body, therefore that's where you have to focus most of your attention.

I'm in week 10, the scalp has been my biggest issue. And, I can tell you--you don't have to cut your hair--even though, I, too considered it. But, you will have to have patience. Even the purging of stuff can be bothersome. As fibers leave, they make the scalp itch. As the little hairs jump out of your skin to their demise, this again, can cause a bit of a sting. If you can, keep your skin/scalp moisterized, this keeps the skin supple and allows things to leave without it disturbing you too much.

For my hair, I've used selsum blue, I've used Neem oil shampoo, Sulpher Shampoo, tea tree oil shampoo. Obviously not all at the same time, but, all were effective. For killing things in the scalp, vick's vapor rub on overnight... other times, coconut oil and olive oil --50/50 blend with a few drops of clove, tea tree and eucalpytus oil. Mind you--this will set off a serious purge in the scalp, so even if it seems like more stuff is moving, and coming out...this is a sign it's getting better. And, as you incorporate this with the protocol, over time you'll notice less stuff coming out. Hope this helps.
