HI Kate-

I am back to reply - and thanks for your question ;)

First- I love what Peter just wrote about the scalp and what he learned - funny too because I remember a very old post from Peter where he said he had a Baggie on his head with some Bounce dryer sheets! Ha! And to hear how much he knows (and others know) about this affliction is Such a blessing.

And so to piggy back on that and to reiterate what is often said around here - keep in mind that hair health improves as your immune system gets stronger and stronger! As the thyroid gets less burdened the scalp improves.

The logos supplements do more than we realize....
Like I am sure the omegas feed the scalp - because we moisturize from the inside out and with ingesting good fats/oils/dha - everything is helped. And Even the iodine in the Magnifical probably helps the hair and scalp health. There are so many little things that interplay!

So we manage symptoms and have to work on external things, but this ailment is inside the body - and so get healthy from the inside out as we rebuild the immune system and get into the deep layers of small intestine and deep in the sinus cavity.

Okay - so for managing scalp symptoms while the protocol attacks the root cause - I agree and highly suggest Dr. Bronners peppermint soap. I knew a lady who applied the Dr bronners "lavender" soap directly to her scalp and it worked for her!
I only used peppermint and it was effective.
Early on I washed entire body - and hair/scalp - with borax and it helped bring relief, but the peppermint soap from Dr bronners was key for my body and scalp.
And during a rough phase - I stayed covered in skin and scalp - with a mix of clay and vinegar! Not a fun time, but I had relief. The clay and vinegar is also a nice root lifter and I had some fun hair - lol. The vinegar smelled a little and so I used sonne's #7 liquid clay for coverage when I had to go out.

Okay - so with the peroxide - never thought I would have used it for hair lightening. BUt during some horrid days with Morgs, I turned to it for relief of back of the neck symptoms and it was amazing.

Peter noted that the layer of scalp can be a breeding ground (to paraphrase him) and that makes sense that things would fall down onto neck and shoulders. Wow.

I also think that things emerge from the skin all over the place - I have left the sauna (which never was a key part of healing for me) but after leaving the sauna - I could see stuff would emerge that was from the dermis! I believe most is vascular and then lives in the skin - and yes- some of the spores (or cysts and eggs) can migrate or shed- but it also coming from the bloodstream and intestines as it emerges outwards.

I also read from Lyme disease boards that the upper spine (below the hair and neck) is sometimes where the Lyme worm is released and this lady suggested covering the upper spine with bentonite clay in order to break up any cycle. Not sure about all of that, but I did notice that the upper back area had a monthly cycle of activity and I kept an eye on this area.
and even though I mostly used clay and castor oil - I used the potent peroxide during a couple of highly active times - and that was also how it led to the pseudo hair dye.

Cautions with peroxide.
I actually suggest using rubbing alcohol for scalp and back to neck (and everywhere) instead of the way I used the peroxide - alcohol is more skin friendly while it also attacks the pathogens!
Alcohol is So much more gentle and as noted - Hulda Clark suggests it for killing parasite eggs on hands or under nails! And I think it was "Shari" who once shared here that she used rubbing alcohol on her scalp and it was powerful!

So I think the rubbing alcohol should be in every bathroom and carried in purse - and a few times a day pour some on hands and fingers. I believe the Morgs fungus Has some similarities with "rose disease" fungus - which is why the scratches appear on hands - but either way - the hands and fingers and wrists are areas that can be managed well with rubbing alcohol - and spraying it in the bathrooms can remove spores,' mildew and odor! Near the end of my high symptom time - I moved away from clay and vinegar and applied a tad bit of alcohol to body and face - thin layer and the also took daily peppermint soap showers - or went into salty hot tub water! (But it was always managing external symptoms while my internal body was healing)

Back to the cautions with the peroxide! Peroxide seems to strip away some of the helpful stuff and I remember having breakouts on certain fingers that applied peroxide a few times (because I used to to lightly clean out Sludge from my nose) I then used cotton swabs and my fingers were spared!
peroxide is potent and should be used with care. And so after using it for hair dye - I suggest adding a nice layer of castor oil to replenish the skin or scalp.
Now some people might get orange hair from peroxide - but for me - it covered greys and lightened nicely - Sometimes it was brutal on the ends - and keeping the hair short for a long while was just wise.

Peroxide for hair dye:

I think it was about every two or three weeks - but I would take the peroxide into the shower and put some on the scalp for two or three times - sometimes the neck and arms - and always on any sores (it is so nice when those sores go away - )
And at the end of the shower - I would pour a little More on the scalp and let it sit as I'd dry off - maybe clean my nose out (using tons of q- tips) and then I would put castor oil on scalp to replenish the area!!
Again, not the most fancy hair dye - but peroxide is chemical free and Morgs friendly. So after experimenting to see how the peroxide works on your hair you can get more of a feel for what you need- but always treat the scalp and skin with castor oil afterwards - let it sit all day (or night) and then wash and condition.

As my health improved and as I healed - whenever I felt activity on the scalp - I would spray alcohol on the area and it would stop. Sometimes I would then add a drop of neem oil - or just go and take a peppermint soap shower (brought relief) but I suggest alcohol for managing scalp symptoms.

Ok - I know this was long, but I also know that sometimes the extra tidbits are what might help people find things or get ideas (or know what not to do) - and so thanks for reading!

;)
