My hair is not better. I spoke with Mel last night. He recommended cold water treatment the hair twice a day, but I can only do that once due to my job as a teacher and my lengthy commute in the morning that has me up at the wee hours of dawn. I’ve already cut my hair into a pixie...it can’t get any shorter than this without me shaving it, which I don’t want to do. I have to be in front of high school students every day. I’d like to know if anyone has ever tried to “freeze” their head with a cooling cap, like the ones that cancer patients use while going through chemotherapy. If so, did it work? Mel told me that I need to become more active on the site, so I am going to try to post more regularly. I’m a really private person, so this is difficult for me to do. However, I am at the six-month mark on the protocol and have had a rocky road lately. All of a sudden, my symptoms are much worse again, especially my hair, which looks (to me) hideous every day. When other people think I am imagining the bizarre and often uncomfortable situation with the hair or tell me that it looks normal, I never know whether they are just being kind or if they are lying. Anyway, I have read this entire thread. I have a Neem oil shampoo that I am going to try every night before I go to bed. It seemed to calm my hair down a tad last night, although nothing dramatic. I do realize that healing inside will help the hair, but after three years of this daily misery, it is sometimes hard to stay positive. I’ve considered a wig, but I have a funny feeling that the morgies will simply decide to infest it instead. I had a hair piece for a while, and they seemed to damage to fringes of it slightly. I just keep praying. That definitely helps. I know that in the next life, I won’t have to deal with any of this. | ||||||
