Hello everyone,

I agree with Joe that although most guys aren’t wired to share, we should try to do so with this group. Especially because all of people they understand our struggles. And as we share we may be able to shed some light on what others are going through and help them, and in response they may be able to help you. I believe that is what this group is about, helping one another, iron sharpening iron.

I know when I first started noticing my symptoms it was very scary, dark, and depressing time for me as I didn’t understand what was going on with my body. My wife didn’t know how to help, and the doctors didn’t either. Thankfully after googling symptom after symptom I found Mel’s site. I looked it over as well as other sites and internet videos claiming cures. It was a while before I went back to Mel’s site and finally faced the reality of what I was going through.

Sometimes it is tough when you’re going through it to take the initiative and action needed to start to investigate healing techniques and protocols. We are so used to having a problem and then going to the doctor for a solution.

I thank God for Mel, the others involved in the group, and those knowledgeable vendors and the wonderful products they provide. I remember going to one dermatologist who got quite rude with me and insisted I only had irritated skin and prescribed steroid cream. Even after showing him pictures, I took using a microscope phone attachment (by the way, don’t do that, it will only make you more depressed) he was no help, but finally agreed to do a biopsy of a part of my skin that was very itchy, which ultimately came back with nothing found. Another dermatologist and 2 other primary care physicians were no help either, with one prescribing me very expensive anti parasitic medicine that did nothing for the fibers coming out of my head and elsewhere.

Thankfully I was able to find an Integrative Health Specialist around the same time I joined Mel’s site. She understood Morgellons and ran stool and blood tests to find imbalances that may be the cause. With the WPS spray, WPS drops which I just started, kleen green spray, sulfur soap, Diet, and protocol from Logos Nutritionals, as well as a Biocidin supplement I needed, I feel like I have begun to heal and make some progress. The road is long and not always easy, but I know if I stick with the sum of the parts I will get healed as others have done before me.

I don’t always use my coaching, can’t make it to every call due to work and family obligations with our 3 kids who are aged 3, 5, and 7, and may fall asleep before taking my last supplement for the day on occasion, but I try my best to follow everything Mel has laid out for us.

One well-known principle of positive friendship is given in the Old Testament book of Proverbs: "As iron sharpens iron, so a person sharpens his friend" (Proverbs 27:17, New English Translation). According to The Bible Knowledge Commentary, "When iron is rubbed against another piece of iron it shapes and sharpens it. Similarly, people can help each other improve by their discussions, criticisms, suggestions, and ideas." The image of a chef using a rod of steel to sharpen a knife is a good example of using strong metals to improve the instrument.

Relating directly to friendship, The Life Application Study Bible states, "There is a mental sharpness that comes from being around good people. Two friends who bring their ideas together can help each other become sharper." As it relates to this disease that we currently struggle with, the ideas, devotional suggestions, help, suggestions, recipes, etc. that we share with each other help us all to get better and polish the rough edges of our health and lifestyle, so to speak.

I will strive to share more and try my best to participate more in the hopes that I not only will get help and benefit, but also that another may receive help and benefit from me in return.
