Thank you Cheryl and John B for your posts!

John,
The advice on Brazil nuts is much appreciated...I will scale way back on those! I will continue to take your life-saving Logos supplements for the rest of my life, as will my family.

Cheryl,
It is always uplifting to hear your kind, compassionate voice. Thank you for the support! It helps.

I've been struggling with depression this month--March is a tough month in New England, as winter never wants to let go its icy grip...

Listening to the archived conference calls all week has been educational, and inspiring. I have to travel to the west coast for an extended period this summer, and while I'm thrilled to be going home, I am bracing and preparing carefully now as to how I will manage it. My well-fed family will put A LOT of pressure on me to EAT! (one sister in law especially--she is a tremendous cook). They will say they are worried--you look so thin! Oh, come on, you HAVE to have some cake! It's a wedding! You are going overboard with this diet thing...oh, just once, have some, it won't hurt yyou...And so on. But I am ready. I will tell them I am eating clean now, on a special diet, and will prepare my own meals. I may have to even make the excuse that I am pre-diabetic (which is absolutely not true), just to get them all to stop pestering me about not eating what they are eating.

I will bring my own grocery treasures with me, along will all my supplements, mms and silver.

I feel I am getting healthier day by day, and looking better, even as I feel the critters moving about inside me when a herx is happening. My hair loss has stopped, finally, and my hair is feeling and looking more like it used to, I am very happy to say.

I can't wait to see how I feel and look once I am completely rid of M! I think it will be the healthiest I've been in my entire life! For me, the hardest part of all of this has been the mental aspects. The physical part has been difficult, of course, to say the least, but fighting off anxiety, reaching near-lunacy from lack of sleep, and fear, trying not to worry about what I cannot understand, and may never understand, giving up my self-pity and frustration, and finding acceptance finally.

It was very hard for me to just accept the reality of this mysterious affliction. The mental/emotional aspects of battling this disease force one to dig deep to discover reserves of steely determination, patience, and resolve. My brain / unconscious has tried to deal with this in other ways...denial at first, then putting it on the back-burner of my consciousness, sadness, self-pity, anger, and now...in my 7th month, acceptance and more clarity.

I understand I am in the process of a total mind/body/soul/life makeover, for the better.

I have to thank Mel once again for just reminding me to keep reading, keep listening, keep participating..there are so many levels to this process of healing.

I wish the cure was a faster one, but I have been taught patience, humility and acceptance, and that is a lesson from God, I think.

I have a whole life of healthy living/eating ahead of me..and we can still enjoy the things we used to--with the help of the recipes published on this website, we can still enjoy a biscuit or the taste of chocolate. Now I'm off to buy a re-bounder (mini-trampoline) to help detoxify!

Love, Mimi (aka Maria)
