Hello friends and fellow warriors!

Heading into my 8th month (I am certain of the dates now!) on the protocol, and feeling like I've turned a corner finally!

I am staying focused and vigilant about my diet as I wage this war--and it is indeed a war. I know how this disease fights back, and goes in cycles. Just a few days ago, I was having a few bad itchy days, but now, it seems I won that individual skirmish!

I've learned to really listen to my body to notice which foods set things off, and am still fine-tuning my diet...no amount of black bean pasta, no matter how tiny the portion, is OK for me, so that has been eliminated from my diet.

Mel is absolutely right when he says SLEEP is the best medicine! After a few nights of plentiful shut-eye--I feel like a spring chicken!

I am holding steady at 16 drops a day, and tolerating the WPS
drops mostly quite well. I am still purging tiny tiny black specks and white specks occasionally. But the black specks are almost completely gone from my house now...it is quite true!
That as we get better, our environment gets better on its own, too. I have stopped cleaning as obsessively as I used to, which is a relief to the whole family.

Had a herx a few days ago with a pounding headache that lasted all day long, and a runny nose, and queasy tummy. Herxing is no fun, but it is always a welcome sign!

How I wish, as we all do, that I could speed up the process, and race to the finish line...but slowly, surely, we are all getting there. ;-)

As Mel says, the main thing is to never, ever, ever give up hope....how those words have sustained me through the dark days and even darker nights.

I urge everyone to drop whatever they are doing, lie down, and have a nap! Ha! If only we all could...but it is truly almost magical how much sleep helps speed our healing process.

Mel, I am so happy that you will be taking some more time for yourself--you deserve it. We want you happy, rested and healthy, and around for a very long time to come!

Love you all,
Maria
