Chile runs about 2,700 miles along the west side of south America, beginning in the north just south of Peru. Instead of states or provinces, it has numbered regions. The country has a variety of climates - "...from the coastal desert beginning in the tropical north to the cold sub-antarctic southern tip." The country on average, is only 110 miles wide.
"Chile is also a land of extreme natural events: volcanic eruptions, violent earthquakes, and tsunamis originating along major faults of the ocean floor periodically beset the country. Fierce winter storms and flash floods alternate with severe summer droughts." (Source: Britannica.com)
Again, we say "Beinvenido". We pray that people in Chile will find helpful information on this website.
