Hello Lola, Robin, Chrissie (and Holly),

Thank you so, so much! It's so incredibly consoling to know other dog owners who have been through this and have some worthwhile advice. I am desperately trying things on my own based on what reading I have done for humans. We have a very kind vet who is trying to help, and he has not been judgmental at all. I don't think I've mentioned the "M" word, but I've referred to "a condition."

Here's where we are:
We tried 2 weeks on Metronidazole which ended last Sun. It may have slowed down the progression, but it didn't seem to help that much.

Last Sun. we started Clavicillin, and we have a few more days on that. He has started drinking water (YAY!) but still not eating much food. I am hand-feeding him everything, it takes about 2 hours a day to try to coax him to eat, try different foods, etc. He will only eat out of my hand right now.

He has had diarrhea the last few days. Good news - today he didn't have that, but there was a little blood in his stool. Augh! I've never seen that before.

Maybe he can't have the normal dosage when he's not eating properly. I really don't know.

Would you please pray for my Potus?

Blessings,
Bonnie and Potus
