Freddie, we are very happy to have you joining us.
Despite the fact that there are quite a few sufferers in the UK, they are still very shy about posting on the forum or taking part in the free weekly conference calls on a Saturday (5pm our time) or prayer calls (7pm our time).
You may not say much yet, but I bet in time you will be chattering away :-). I was shy at first and now it's a wee joke that when Mel asks me if I want to say something he says, "of course she wants to say something! ":-)
It takes us all a wee while to find our feet. And people don't need to speak until they are comfortable enough. You can just listen.
As you said, it has made such a difference just being part of the community, taking part in the calls, writing posts and getting responses and talking to people a little further down the road than you are. How I wish that people who are alone with this would reach out, just like you did. I know I say it a lot on this forum, but people really don't need to be alone as they can join the forum. Five dollars a month is peanuts (or should I say almonds as peanuts are too moldy for us :-)).
I hope you are feeling better and I'm very happy you got the protocol, that's great news.
Best wishes,
Chrissie |
